Flex Time Specialty Sales Positions

I know...that is a very tight time line especially if you want to give two weeks notice. They should give enough time for that at least. I am sure they would want that if they were losing employees

Don't count on this being long term. Janssen is looking to get rid of this division and is looking to sell. They just got rid of the specialty division reps that sold the meters and placed them in other positions. Whether they are still going to promote the meters in PCP / Endo offices, I dont know.

Yes. Not long term. This is a very tough market. Prices of strips continue to fall which is why salesforces are small, part time. Many cuts in recent years to rep numbers amongst lifescan competitors.

Having said that: Location of away training ? How many days?

If there have been cuts to competition any share of voice will help increase sales.

Noone knows the length of any contract. It's all just speculation

From competitor rep, Janssen rep said she does not promote meter. Just a drop off. There is no promotion going on with lifescan meter.

Janssen reps have the meters until Dec. 31. They have been getting bonus on them, so they have been promoting them and providing service. Their focus is Invokana though and that's where the pressure is and has been all year. So I think it seems like they haven't been doing much with them... Probably depends on the rep and the area.

It is also true that J&J will likely sell LifeScan. That's why, in the meantime, they are hiring a mostly part-time sales force. It's anyone's guess how long this could last. Contract could continue with whatever company buys LifeScan, but who knows. For those worried about 2 weeks notice, I'd think about whether it's really worth it if your current job is more stable. And if necessary, just overlap the two jobs for a week or two! All you'll have is home study in a flex time job, so you can totally do that. And chances are your current job won't have you working those full 2 weeks anyway.

Do some research on the Janssen diabetes medical device division website. They just bailed on the insulin pumps and are looking to get rid of the meters next. Definitely won't be long term.

The Flex time job isn't a good job. You don't get paid for travel time & some offices are 3 hrs away.
The pay isn't good & benefits are poor & as previous posters said JNJ wants to get out of the meter
business.

Recruiter said you don't start getting paid until you reach your first office Not sure how they track it.
Flex time for some contracts (not Inventiv) has you clock in on I pad and of course they always know where the I pad is.
