At a MINIMUM, they should give a day off for sacrificing your weekend. Yes, it is a sacrifice, especially to those of us with other obligations unlike Kathy. This is all her doing. She came to Shire hellbent on saving money on meetings and now that she squeezed (no pun intended with the seats they put us in for hours at a time) every dollar, she's now moved on to saving on meeting space and airline fees by doing them over weekends. Not to mention the same tired locations.

Fuck you Shire! This job sucks and so does our absent-minded "leaders". I knew I should have left with the old leadership. At least they valued us and made meetings fun and entertaining.
 






This meeting is going to be fun. Couldn't you tell by the con call how much fun we had saying hi to Xiidra? I bet we will be able to take pictures with Xiidra and have more conversations with Xiidra. Hi Xiidra!! I'm so exited to meet you!! No more turtles!

If y'all don't want to attend, I am sure we won't miss you. We can readily replace you with someone who wants to be there and is appreciative of a good paying job. Life is relatively simple - - - do your work well and support your family.
 












Last three posts: thank you for trying to appear to be more than one person retorting. Truth is, we know better. (Hint -next time leave a little more than two minutes between posts). Man, you are dumb!
 






My favorite part was her justification of the weekend. She tried to blame it on last minute or rushed planning, using the NSM as comparison. They have had plans in place every week of July anticipating early approval. Why wouldn't you book accordingly through the week? I'd gladly give up 3 days of home study for no weekend meeting.

Exactly! She's been planning on this shit all along. I'm sick and tired of working on the weekends. AND NO WE DON'T GET MONDAY OFF! Yeah Yeah Yeah I know you wanna leave, leave. I'm working on it. You can't treat people and their families this way. You say oh wait until you see the comp plan, you'll see it will be ok. Whatever I'm not selling my sanity for a possible bonus.

There is always mid-week meeting space available in July. It's one of the slowest months of the year. What a con job she's serving up.

Exactly! She doesn't want reps out of the field. Doing a meeting M-F would do that...so take away our free time and family time so we can devote ALL OF OUR TIME AND LIFE TO SHIRE.
 






ok, I totally agree it sucks that we have to give up another weekend, however we were hired to launch a new block buster drug, this comes with the job. We have had it really nice for months and let's be honest...if we counted the hours we have worked lately and what we got paid for we probably owe shire some hours. If you don't like it, I know B+L is accepting applications.
 






Yes, I suppose you are right.
The last 3 months have been cake and I'm looking forward to 2-3 hrs/day for the next week.
But please do not continue with the "say Hi to Xiidra" shit, I feel like I'm in third grade.

Blockbuster drug? Better not count your chickens yet. Also, there are plenty of blockbuster drugs where the reps are not required to attend meetings on weekends. This is a new trend here and we can thank KK for that.
 






Yesterdays conference call was like a Pre-K orientation.
KK spoke to us like children(by the way she was in Costa Rico when the approval was announced-working real hard) and the say Hi to Xiidra made me want to vomit.
However, based on some of the questions from the sf, I question the hiring practices of there RD's- pathetic cheerleaders!
