Not at ED&O and first post in weeks, 5 RD gone, 2 IBU out and 3 BHBU kept but new job, 8 INBU DM out and 14 BCBU DM out, 18% INBU reps out and 25% BHBU out, many green retained, notice dates are 29 and 30, it will take two days. admin leave through april and minimum of 24 week of severance, good luck, there are much better things out there,- SB

Looks like the initial feelings of experienced reps was correct when big Joe announced the green team..they were positioning to take our jobs....was correct! We'll see!

This re-org has nothing to do with that..couldn't, they aren't saving sh-t with this re-org from a monetary standpoint. Granted, head count needs to be reduced but the savings attributed to that, especially in 2014 is minimal at best.

SB be more specific on your point of lot of green team still intact...

may be difficult to explain, but here you go:
If a low performer specialty rep had an above average green representative that lived within 12 miles of the territory, the specialty rep was not retained. With the reduction in head count you will see approximately ~25 open territories across the two new BU's

Do you mean 18% of the total reps (457) in the combined IBU (317) and NBU (140)?
And 25% of the total BHBU (600) or 150 is a much smaller loss that previous posts which were in the area of 200-250.

i call bullshit. A green rep is the average of specialty. How can they be above average when they are riding coat tails?

BHBU by SB #'s

570 total territories

25% reduction

143 wacked!

427 left

Implies there will be a substantial "green" presence since today there are only 402 Specialty territories....167 green were on the books as of 1/03/2014

Not my post, not even close to accurate, if you are measuring two reps in a single territory and one is green you would discount their performance so they would have to really overperform against specialty to beat specialty, SB

For first, yes and for second your number is wrong, 570 reps there and 25% is the mid part of range, it's 22 to 28% and at 28%, SB

First year savings is 65M, thinking how eps is calcuated that's a big number and worth about 10C, it's why company got rid of amex points, reduced travel, expect more of that, less stock, freezing salaries, you're only in beginning and about 50 green left, givetake, SB

I Computed earlier response, based upon SB's latest info on above post that means 117 green gone; if total gone is 125-160 (22-28% of 570) that leaves specialty with roughly a reduction of 8-43......

SB?

Is the severance subsequent to the admin leave, or is the admin leave part of the 24 weeks?

Sorry if that's a horribly dumb question

BTW RSDs on are on board with the new organization about as much as some of you are with the quotes you've been ask to provide on how excited you are with the new structure. Keep playing the game it is best for you and your families. There is no shame in that.

SB you mentioned admin leave though April and 24 weeks of severance. After April, isn't it just 12 weeks severance and 1 week for every year? Plus your bonus? Also, did tenure have a lot to do with the decisions? I know NBU and IBU had a lot of newer reps. Thanks so much!
