Seize the opportunity that these the fools are going to create!
Hey Doucebag: That was in a Healthy Volunteer PK study!
Look at the AE table for the double blind studies.
But you don't know what those are because you did not do any of them.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hah
message to the pharmacist....if you knew what was best for the patients, you would have a MD or DO in front of your name....why is it that pharmacists think they have prescribing power....5 yrs of school or 10+ years of school....who would you trust to give you the best medication...hmmmm
PHARMACISTS SUCK....6 YEARS MY ASS. MORE LIKE 1/2 OF A BACHELORS IN NOTHING, THEN 3 YEARS, THEN INTERNING. I TRUST MY DOC 100X MORE THAN MY PHARMACIST BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT THE BODY, NOT JUST MEMORIZE THE P.I. AND HOW CAN YOU BITCH ABOUT SCREWING THE PATIENT FOR $$, PHARMACISTS MAKE MORE $$ FOR FLIPPING TO A GENERIC. DOCTORS PRESCRIBE BRANDED MEDS BECAUSE THERE IS NOT IDENTICAL EQUIVALENT. I WISH I COUNTED PILLS IN A BOX 40 HOURS/WEEK.

I am the one who said my doc said it wouldn't make me drowsy in the morning. Well, this makes no damn sense why he gave me samples...as I was taking a 10 mg of Flexeril and breaking it in half at night before I go to bed. Even half was making me feel drowsy and dopey in the mornings. I take it because I have Fibromyalgia Syndrome and my pain keeps me awake. The Flexeril puts me to sleep and I can usually sleep the night thru without waking up. Taking the Fexmid didn't change anything. So all he was doing was pushing this drug on me (wow, usually FMS'ers have a hard time getting what they WANT from a doc when it comes to med's...now I have one PUSHING it on me).
Anyway, I'll stick with my Flexeril. That way, if I need something stronger than 7.5 mg., I'll have it.
Typical pharmaceutical company business I guess. I know all about that. I was a Redux victim.
or most likely you wanted oxy's or something else that would make you high and thats what you mean by "it didnt work"Most likely you were mis-diagnosed. You may not have muscle spasms.
Or you could take one and a half of the 5 mg tablets, duh?I am a relatively new user of Fesmid. I had shoulder surgery, and had serious mucle tightness during recovery. I could not take the 10 mg Flexeril and function at work, it just knocked me out. The 5 mg was too small a dose. My doctor gave me samples of the Fexmid, and it works like a charm! I am able to function at work, yet not die in agony by the time I get home.
That being said, my doctor just loaded me up on samples because he said it was too expensive with no generic form. As great as the drug is, doctors having to give out a lot of samples because of the jacked up price is definitely not good for the companies trying to profit from the sales.
I agree with the comment regarding pharmicists. They need to keep their mouths shut and write the medicine EXACTLY as prescribed unless the patient has a question or they notice a drug interaction the Doc may have missed. In either of those cases they should CALL THE DOC to get a verbal to change or a new Rx faxed over. I am not a physician but am in the medical field so I am not speaking only as a patient. However, a good example of a pharmacist overstepping their bounds is as follows: I have severe migraines and have for over 10 yrs. I have seen 4 docs, had every possible diagnostic test, been through at least 5 triptans b4 finding one that worked, and about the same # of narcotic/NSAID pain relievers; so I have a good handle on what works for me. I have finally settled with Relpax and Percocet 10. I also have to take phenergan occasionally for nausea. I found that certain generic forms of the percocet increased my nausea at the same strentgh as the generic and some generic were not as effective. So, my doc always writes my Rx with "dispense as written" circled. However, multiple pharmacists still insist on dispensing the generic form without asking me and in spite of the doc's WRITTEN ORDERS! Is that even legal?! I now go to an independent pharmacist who knows me and my med hx/med list and he DISPENSES WHAT THE DOC WRITES or at the most MAKES A SUGGESTION but he NEVER changes the Rx on his own volition! I also have perenial indoor/outdoor allergies and take cetirizine-D. When it went to OTC pharmacists began PUSHING phenylephrine and other products that suck on me and would even tell me they "didnt have anything with PSD in it". Some times they didnt have it but sometimes I could see it behind the counter! I dont believe I look like a meth-head, as the majority of times I would have my professional attire on, and I would not be over the legal limit. So, I eventually asked my doc to write me a Rx for it and I try to use my same pharmacist as much as possible, though it is difficult sometimes as I travel to give presentations/seminars with my job. I am sick of pharmacists that like to play God or doctor. If you want to write prescriptions take your as# to medical school. Otherwise, you need to realize that most patients have a trusted relationship with their physician and their is a medical reason that the doc has written a certain medication!
