Female VP's Exit in Mass Numbers

Sadly, the good old boys club is alive and well at Baxter. At least three senior level VP's have left the company in the past month. There won't be many left at this rate. Baxter is becoming a terrible workplace for women who are at the senior levels. Diversity and Inclsuion - what a joke!

Grow a pair! Wait, if they had grown a pair, they'd still be with Baxter.

Baxter is one of the least progressive healthcare/pharma/device companies in the midwest for attracting and retaining top female senior leadership. Any of the good ones that join find out quickly how bad it is and then they leave as soon as possible for better places.

A protip: success has to be earned,if it's given then it not worth much...huh? Lowering the bar hurts everyone. Hell, Meg didn't need the bar lowered....she won 6 trips.

If winning trips is the end-all for measuring the caliber of a sales rep then we are on unsteady ground. Some of the most incompetent reps I have had the pleasure of working with have many trips under their belt. Meg and others didn't get promoted due to trips alone we have some very solid leaders (not all) that are excellent at playing corp politics. Don't be fooled, if you want to make it at any company this is a major component.

Here's and observations that Senior Leadeship has ignored, the East RMs doing whatever they can to get away from Dave Clark. I count four out of eight RMs have left or moved to other positions in Baxter in 2014. A fifth RM was fired, he was Clark's brilliant Tampa hire, he lasted 90 days.
