I got a window seat to Chicago, and a room to myself!! 2 different hotels, so CVMD is safe!
This thread has,in all seriousness, become nightly entertainment for some poor fella whose wife doesn't pay him any attention anymore, the kids play on their iPhone after getting home from school, and the doggie prefers another couch to lounge on.
Daddy must be lonely and starving for attention. You poor boy, you. Get another hobby, like clipping coupons or watching Little house on the Prairie reruns.

Or get a job where the most exciting thing that will happen every day is when it is over.

I have only been doing this job for 2 years and am bored out of my mind. I went from working 8 hrs. per day and feeling like time moved pretty fast to where I am today looking at the clock at 10:30 and wondering how the hell I am going to make it until 2:30. I look at people that have been doing this for over 20 years and wonder how they could possibly handle the boredom and abuse for that long.

It's called $$$$ w/o busting a nut for it.

You learn how to game the system and how to keep your mouth shut.

No dog no kids. Just an HQ role where I see all. CVMD leadership moving on to protected roles within HQ. You will see few of the usual suspects getting all teary-eyed on stage. Big cuts coming. Pascal has no other choice. Activist investors will take to the streets if he refuses. $400MM in cost cutting demanded. Remember, AZ may trade on the NYSE, but it is not domiciled in the US. So tax cuts mean little to nothing with regard to timing. Realignment and displacement coming. July was the initial target. But like so much bullshit around here, the $45B becomes $35B, and the July target becomes February.

Compared to other pharma companies the number of reps per territory is just plain funny. easily 50% cuts could and should be made. 1 Resp and 1 CVMD rep per territory calling on all PC and specialty. Anyone doubting that cuts will come seems a bit delusional.

Thank you for another laugh on a cold and snowy day! I guess that is why JP Morgan and other investors have changed their outlook to a buy stock because of our pipeline and future growth!
Sorry my friend but your argument is empty and comical at best!

And the growth is coming from specialty areas, specifically oncology. Leaves a lot of room for headcount reductions in the resp and diabetes areas.

Anyone who has ever spent any time in HQ can attest to this: when these people go on stage at meetings everything they say and do is scripted often using a teleprompter. If they speak to a strategy from a slide deck, both the strategy and the talking points are created by a consultant group and polished by an ad agency. Nothing they say or do originates with them except their corny jokes or a few attempts at humor on stage. Most of these people can't find the restroom without help and many times forget where they parked their car. Anyone who has worked in Wilmington knows how true this is. Every 3 or 4 years we get a new crop.

While JP is selling, they are telling you to buy. Learn how the game is played my friend.

Exactly. This is how the game is played. For more education, look into the case of the CEO at Intel and how he unloaded $23 million in stock options while telling everyone else to hold onto their stock because the market would drive the price higher. All the time he knew that their chips were flawed and the bad news was kept from the public until after the date he could unload his stock options. We will be the last to know good or bad news.

JP Morgan is just one of many money managers demanding headcount cuts. Pascal has no other avenue. His $45 Billion is now $35 Billion. And as he continues to sell revenue streams, that number will continue to contract.

The big funds are looking for $400 Million in bottom line cuts in 2018 to make up for the Billion dollar misses in 2017.
