Fanapt Falls Flat! Link from the Street.com













My former NeuroPsych partner tells me she is absolutely miserable. Maybe I was the lucky one after all!

Same here, I called my old partner after the announcement of the layoff of 2000 people. She is so hoping to get a package to get out of the Fanapt disaster!

She told me very few people are making any bonus on this product.
 




Oh please. Fanapt AND Latuda are falling flat because the atypical market has been totally saturated with NINE drugs in the class, half of which either have gone generic or are about to go generic. There is NO market for atypicals anymore! NADA!

Really? Why did Vanderbilt say yes to Latuda and no to Fanapt?
 












Former Fanapt rep here, I now work for the competition. When I look at my market share reports on the nation, the region, and my territory..............whew, I can see why you guys are going down!

No disrespect to the Fanapt reps who are still out there really trying. However, those of us who were laid off with good numbers and great Psych relationships now feel vindicated!

So, your thoughts on the town hall meeting in regards to NeuroPsych and Fanapt? I think we are all gone in December. I have really tried, but Fanapt is just a dog drug facing multiple generic competitors.
 








Vanda reported royalties of $1.216 million for Q3 versus $752K in Q2. At 10% royalty, that translates into Novartis sales of $12.2 million and $7.5 million for Q3 and Q2, respectively.
 




Honestly.....Fanapt seems to be a really good product. When it works.....it really works, and we hear success stories about that every day. However, it is like pulling teeth to get physician's to use this drug! Why is that do you think? How can a sales force be retained with sales results like that?
 




Just remember that you have to believe that Fanapt is the best product on the market no matter how complicated the dosing is. If you believe it the Doctor will as well. There are no obstacles only opportunities to engage him in a 2-way dialogue. Your Doctor just does not understand the importance of this drug to his patients. THAT'S WHAT WE WERE TOLD WITH EXELON CAPSULES. COME ON PEOPLE "COWBOY OR COWGIRL UP"

The reps in Nashville West are really bad. That is the main reason and everyone knows it.

I am curious. Who are the Nashville West Reps that are really bad? Also, are you aware that Herbert Meltzer (Father of Clozaril- the Psychiatrist that coined the term Atypical) pushed for Latuda to be on Formulary at Vanderbilt because he decided to leave this past year and go to Northwestern. Prior to this decision of his, he would not agree to speak for a Pharmaceutical company because Vanderbilt FORBIDS their MDs to speak or to attend any pharmaceutical program that is product specific. Are you also aware of the closed door rep policy for the Psych hospital. So, I suppose Dr. Meltzer is a better rep than the Nashville West Reps. As for your ignorance about the ability of the Nashville West Reps sales abilities- I believe they are consistently in the top of sales performance. I believe my 5 National awards is nothing to hang ones head over. Please do your research before you fly off the cuff about something you know nothing about. It's just plain wrong.

And one more thing... When I left the Nashville West Territory to become a stay at home mom to my 3 and 5 year old (nothing to do with Fanapt- it was keeping me here) my market share was about 1.5 %. TRX and NRX. Now, you are ranked based on volume (due to Novartis getting in trouble with off label promotion- Trileptal in particular- which was one of my 5 National Awards- So was Fanapt... I'd like to ask you, what's your TRX share? 1.5 might seem low. But, Nationally- it's about .5 %. I am glad to be gone from all you negative unprofessional people that do not deserve a job working for big pharma. It was difficult to give up a base salary of 111K - but, my children are so much kinder than so many of you. Get to work and maybe Fanapt will achieve a National Market Share like mine. Then you losers just might keep your jobs that you don't deserve.

When it works? Any product will have a few "new horse in the middle of a race responses" when patients are switched from other agents. If you will dig deep and find what little data is available (though not powered for comparison claims), Fanapt trended less effective than Zyprexa & risperidone and similar to Geodon.

If only all of these territories had market shares like Shari had. COMBINED, she had 1.5% of the market according to her post. Shari, enjoy your kids Honey. God bless you. We would hope ur 3 and 5 year old are kind. Get off the website and go take care of you kind .... They are called children! If you were so great and quit and came back and quit and came back---then why did you leave if you were such a professional that is visiting a web site of the company at which you thought people were losers ...
