Expansion

B&L was a great company at one time but has never recovered from the recall or the damage done by Ron Zarella. Upper management cotinues to bring in their buddies and they are unable to turn the ship around. If you need a job until you can find something else, you can probably stick it out for a year. But with all of the isses, you're better off not rolling the dice. There are a few good people left in each division but they are few and far between . Many of the managers have the mentality of wife-beating - no clue how to manage or motivate.

this board and its threads are pathetic
if you took half the energy you spend on here bashing your company and actually try and sell something then maybe, just maybe you would amount to something!!

thanks...and dont worry your pathetic job and life are safe... will look elsewhere!

Whoever wrote this is not familiar with the lack of validity in our product line; which becomes more outdated each month. They obviously are not in the front lines trying to sell any of this slop!

2011 the competition will crush Besivance, Steroid business will dwindle because of managed care, and OTC will take a hit on the recall. It doesn't look like the company has set itself up to succeed...but then again, that may not be the overall goal.

You are right. Success is not the goal. If it was then there would be a general layoff in order to cut costs and make the company more efficient. Also, there would be a consolidation of facilities. What the end came is for WP is a mystery. Some indicated that WP could actually make money if the company goes into bankruptcy. Perhaps WP is slowly moving all the company cash and assets to other parts of WP so that when bankruptcy is announced WP is actually in the black because they protected the cash.

The extremely large salaries of executives is also a potential way to scam the bankruptcy law. If the executives have 50 to 100 million dollar salaries all of that money is protected from the bankruptcy process. Is the current top management really just WP employees sucking the company dry with their high salaries?

Certainly a mystery. In the end there will be some big losers. Banks, employees, the community. I would bet the WP comes out OK because I am sure that the WP executive salaries are out of this world and they can probably retire ten times over on their current savings.

The true role of a private equity firm is to raid the cash assets of their investment and then let the asset default or go into BK for restructuring. The PE firm will get a tax break and, yes, if the execs give themselves multi-million dollar salaries they can protect their cash from BK during the process. It really is a racket to the highest degree with the banks and public ultimately being the victims!

I guess the only advantage we have here is to have front row seats to watch such a spectacle.

last poster is a moron. Branded Rx is a disaster, no patent life on lotemax, the other products are a disaster. Generics is a good profit center but VC and OTC is where all the money is.

Both wrong: WP has milked this thing for quite a while. We have been in a financial slide for quite some time. The profits are ever-dwindling in all sectors. This thing is headed to bankruptcy and that's where WP will really make out. We are being used as tools.

Very right. The only reason why B+L needs to show better sales figures, better ROI, etc. is so more loans can be taken out or increased. As soon as there is a cash injection into the operation, WP will raid the tangible money leaving B+L with a shell of a company and holding onto the bill.

Any bank would be crazy to loan to this company.

Invitations have been sent out. If you didn't get one, then you probably are not being considered for the expansion.

...and don't worry you're not missing anything. Joining up with one of the most blatantly nepotistic companies in the industry doesn't look well for future employment. You're simply not being chosen to take a ride on the Titanic so you should be thankful because we all know how that trip ends up: many victims, a few survivors, and a promise that sank to the bottom of the ocean.

If you know anything about the Titanic survivors, they were the first class passengers who elbowed their way on to the lifeboats leaving the 3rd class passengers to comprise the majority of the victims. History will repeat itself at this Titanic of a company.
