Yes- everybody that screened decided that the job was idiotic and they all declared to stay away from B+L.

I couldn't agree more . These people don't want to pay for experience and success. They want cheap. Run don't walk away from these ''Big Phama wantabees. Warbug-Pincus and their hit man :Hassan will gut this formerly good company like a pig!

The gutting has long been in process. More and more, only the dregs are left.
 












It's like a cattle call for being a rep. At least you'll get to see how you will be treated if you actually land a position. You'll be a number, whipped to produce unrealistic expectations, and the only interest in you will be how well you can perform administrative work while trying to keep your numbers from sinking. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere- this company has a reputation for being a joke in the industry. If you make it to the cattle call, just remember that gut feeling of "what the heck is this crap?!"
 






Wont this expansion consist of hiring the layed off Pfizer Opth Reps? Why would they bother with a hiring event and flying three canidates if one copromoted with the team?

A good number of the Pfizer reps got reassigned or great severance/early retirement packages (the likes of which we will never see). Only the junk will come our way.

Their junk at Pfizer is like our golden reps at B+L! They have good quality reps that were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The only reason why Bausch may not want them is because they know how things are supposed to be done at a big pharma company and will see through all the BS that management is pushing on them.
 


















I had one this week. Waiting to see if I get picked to go to Orlando to the f2f interviews. Was told the same info, 3 people per opening will be iv'd.

You are correct , B&L Management was a joke when we (Pfizer ) met with them in 2009 for the co-promote meetings.They were disorganized and self absorbed idiots and it was painfully obvious that they didn't have a clue as how to sell in the Ophthalmic arena. I heard that their upper management was ex-Novartis and that speaks for itself : Primary care 101 simpletons. They are the reason that the pharma industry is in the sad shape that it is in.

I was also phone screened but heard from an inside source that this place is a cluster....4th man in, in a crowded opthalmic market with very little managed care and idiotic managers. Hassan will take this place down.

If this is true, then there are certainly a lot of Pfizer leftovers begging for jobs here. Better to have a job with disorganized management than no job at all. Happy hunting.

We're not going to see any real Pfizer reps. I have been told by several people still at Pfizer that what is being offered is junk both in terms of pay and benies. I agree that those guys have been spoiled working for a major player but they would rather go into another TA than work for what we are able to offer. They also know about Fred H. over there as there were many bodies tossed into the stratosphere when Fred ground up Pharmacia. They're a pretty savvy crowd.

Drank too much Kool-Aid with that advice. Most of us are trying to get out of here. This place is miserable as we can see the end coming and we are not treated well to boot. Keep looking, call recruiters, do whatever. Don't become more fodder for upper management to kick around. Mentally this is a very abusive environment.
