Ummmm, no one said you had to go anywhere. But why trash a place you know nothing about? If people get offers and feel it’s a good fit for them, why post this- unless you didn’t get an offer? OBVIOUSLY many Shire OBU reps didn’t think Shire was the right opportunity any more. Others think it is. Go with what’s best for your own situation. And how about being happy for those who follow their hearts and dreams, be that stay or leave. It’s a job.

You are exactly what Shire OBU was NOT supposed to be. This was supposed to be a group of positive people who wanted to work together as a team. Sometimes circumstances change. New opportunities lead to other opportunities. Shire hired movers and shakers. Some will move in other directions.

We should’ve known better from the get go, not what Shire HR was supposed to be? Come on they hired Kathy Kobe we should’ve known this would’ve been a shit show from the start. I was warned by somebody who knew Kathy Kobe over at Bausch & Lomb and chose to ignore it, silly me. Mike and John made a good promises but they never made good on those promises, and just kept that shit show rolling.

Why would you post we are making less? I interviewed with several companies before finding my new home. Every company offered an increase over my Shire salary. all the bonus were the same or better. The lowest salary was $125, just slightly higher than my Shire salary.

Maybe you couldn’t get a higher paying position, but the rest of us certainly did.

Salary increases may be one of the few positives we will take from Shire. We got raises to go to Shire and raises to leave Shire.

I know I am making a great deal more than the Allergan and Alcon pharma reps too.

What world are you living in? You are probably HR and basing your salaries off ‘industry standards’. Those numbers are false. If anything, the numbers you get are 5 years old. Its funny that people came to a company to sell a dry eye product voluntarily . Left companies that they may have done well with, and now they bash the same disease state they signed on to sell for after they leave. Well you are certainly out of the loop. Most of us DID NOT come to Shire for Dry Eye. We came for the promises of new products, all new and novel, all bio-med, and rare diseases. Our 1st product was SUPPOSED to be for retinopathy of prematurity which has no cure. They told us it was moved to another division-wtf? Then it disappeared all together. As of last year they were still promising. This time Retina. They hired a KAM team and even hinted they would be the lead on our new Retina drugs.
There is nothing in the pipeline that will come to fruition in the next few years.

Yes, but most companies dont lie about their pipeline. Not all bad though. Launching a new division and new class of drug always looks good on a resume.

There is no expansion. Somewhere between 50 and 100 (closer to 100) reps have quit. They are slowly filling some of the empty territories. Be aware. If they are already lying to you that should raise red flags- if that many empty territories doesn’t.
