DNA

There is no such thing as "GNE", just try to buy "GNE" stock, it does not exist. Let me remind you that Roche purchased "GNE" and absorbed it. How was Groundhog's Day, getting old isn't it? How's the focus on gender, orientation and diversity with promotions going?

Genentech is just a fancy brand name for "Roche" in the USA. There is no "mothership" to carry, and there is no "independent" or seperate Genetech entity, it is only a name.

Like the Japanese on those Iwo Jima caves after WWII, you need to come to grips with the fa t that the "War is over", and you have been defeated. GNE is dead! We are all now Roche, plain and simple!

Hello goofball, do you work in Basel? We are in the USA and it's Genentech. Thanks for the info anyway.

Having worked for Roche before the reverse merger, this is not Roche USA, it's run very differently than the way Nutley was. I'm sure Genentech old school reps will never accept the change that happens.....just remember, Roche let GNE do their own thing for quite a long time and many of you became quite rich in the process. Be thankful you don't work for Amgen and appreciate what we have here. My franchise will be shut down late this year or early next year (I'm sure you can figure out which group that is) and I'll either get something else here or elsewhere. It is what it is. Let to of the past.

Right moron, try to sell your shit to the hundreds of loyal Roche employees who were let go and never to be rehired.

Things aren't always great anywhere but, this is about as good as it gets in this industry. So with that said, be grateful for what we do have and, if you see a better place, go and enjoy it.
We have jobs, healthcare, etc., life is pretty good for us.

Roche bought the shares of DNA. The symbol GNE was long since gone. Roche left Genentech alone for a bit of time and made a ton off of that move. They screwed up when they bought the remainder and took the name. The Roche name was a joke at the time in the US

That's for damned sure, especially the part of screwing everything up by buying the rest of the company. The bigger screw up was assuming the Genentech way was the superior way and trying to integrate some of their ridiculous, over-controlling systems into Roche. If you look at the track record of regulatory inspections pre integration, that would tell you how idiotic a decision that turned out to be.

As long as the US business continues to deliver big time, the Swiss will leave us alone and we can continue to play hard and waste lots of money on useless things and functions that are only meant for our leaders to buy their popularity with us.

The moment performance turns, and it will because it always does at some point, watch them come in and put a noose on this out-of-control beast.

Enjoy the good times while they last GNE. Increasing sales by increasing prices is not going to be sustainable long term. The moment that innovation engine stops delivering, the suits from Swissyland are going to head over and give you guys a humbling haircut. GNE today is very different from GNE circa 1 decade ago. All the smart people are gone and the only ones left are the arrogant pricks who have ridden the GNE name (undeservedly) for the last decade...

Well said

While true, there is a fear to leave because we see things happen in companies i.e. no FDA approval, being bought, no pipeline or just scared due to the propaganda we hear. Most people that leave want to return, I think because of the safety.
