DM meeting next week to discuss realignment?





All i heard was that 4th quarter bonuses will be paid, 2/3 of quarter 1 will be paid...so your numbers in accordance with your goals for December and January, and then over achiever dollars will be paid as well. These will be paid in the middle of March along with our normal base pay for the the next 8 weeks. If anyone heard anything different please speak, but I believe this is what was all said through the crackling and terrible microphone. Also we have our benefits until midnight through March 31st.
 






It should be interesting to see which territories Alcon posts. Probably going to be some of the same territories that Q reps got laid off. Hopefully Alcon re-hires the reps who have put in their time & shown results! Also can't believe they laid off Gregg Fowler. He was by far the best RD and will be missed.
 















I have never encountered such a negative corporate culture as I have seen at this company. When I came here a few years ago it was such a different place, then slowly over time, little by little they turned to everything being negative. Even if you were hitting your numbers, meeting objectives, and advancing in PClub ranking, managers were told to find something negative that you are doing wrong and highlight it in your report. And now I've seen my manager "realigned", someone who had very high performance, very well respected individual. I am shocked this used to be considered a Top 100 company to work for. It is amazing how a few people in power can destroy the morale of an entire sales force. I doubt this place will ever recover to having the best people in the industry to carry the name of Alcon, but that name means nothing to my accounts anymore. It should be called "A Con". We have become the pushy, aggressive, negative, "sell in the competitions court" type of company that our accounts now despise. We have become everything we have hated about the competition in the past. And if you aren't being one of these types of sales people, doesn't matter your results, your days are numbered. And as far as career longevity and job security, if the powers that be even get a whiff you are not 100% on board with every negative agenda put forth, it is only a matter of time before you are handed your "realignment." If you are a talented individual that has an interview with this company coming up, run the other way, do yourself a favor, it is not worth the misery and agony you will be put through. I very much hope they offer a new company employee survey soon. I am utterly demoralized and shocked at what happened last week, but does not at all surprise me in the least. Trust me, this will reverberate through the sales force and ultimately to our accounts, sales will suffer yet again because the leadership here fails to recognize the importance of people and relationships in sales.

You are correct, the problem is me, and a lot of other people who do not respond to constant, unwarranted negativity even when you are doing exactly what is expected of you, but thanks for the pep talk, very glad for you to be happy, I hope you continue to be so

What a douche. You must be new. If you have put time in and built friendships with co-workers and management you would see how the new Novartion way of thinking makes you out to be a bad employee. They want you to dislike your fellow employee and report there every move that does not conform to their ways. Lets drag our feet maybe they will sale us off and we can start over.
 



there is no doubt novartis ruined this company! i know the mgrs see it and im sure the regional mgrs know it as well..i was kept but i still can not shake the fact that some of my coworkers are no longer here
 






Thanks guys for speaking the truth, I was reluctant to post the original thread, but I know way more than I should, this is a dark, dark place where power and might rule, trust me Im way more in the loop with very high people, there are models and formulas at work that will ensure you will not be here very long, anyone who doubts this is just to new or being promised something that will not come to fruition,
 



For instance, in case you think Im full of it, do you newbies realize when you come in youre sorted automatically to LP low potential or HP high potential and its only a matter of time after that

I'm so incredibly disheartened by everything that's gone down- the way a 3rd party vendor chose people's fates, the confusion surrounding the interview process for displaced Alcon and Quintiles reps, and how those of us left are supposed to carry on like nothing is wrong, complete with a canned response to be delivered when our offices ask questions. I guarantee you even the most loyal Alcon employees are dusting off the resumes, cleaning up that LinkedIn profile, and exploring other opportunities. Alcon has lost our trust, and the great corporate culture they once had.

Go find another job. Plenty of Alcon reps./DMs are already interviewing as we speak, even people that stayed that may surprise you...

The beauty of this country is that if you don't like your job, you can get another one, even in this economy.

I would recommend this though...you are a complete idiot if you get back into pharma. It is full of micromanagement, layoffs and robot behavior. It is great when you are 25...career suicide after 35. And you all know it.

Grow up and quite your whining. This is business. Companies will do what they have to do to stay competitive, and there were just too many reps in the field. Problem solved, now move on.
