Difficult week in Wilmington

The point is that Crestor sales are already down in the US, where patent exclusivity is still in place. Any patient already on Crestor will not be switched unless they change doctors or health care plans, but these numbers will slowly dwindle as they move along in time for various reasons. New patients added to Crestor therapy will not match the losses now that there has been an introduction of a cheap (and getting cheaper as more and more generic players enter the market) and effective generic. The sales will not plummet, but they will certainly not increase. There is no compelling reason to choose Crestor over Lipitor for the vast majority of patients based on our own comparative studies, so why pay more? It remains to be seen how fast Crestor sales will actually drop, but look to the history of Nexium sales for the sales losses that occurred in a similar situation.

Part of Nexium downfall 4 years ago,was totally eliminating Nexium sales force, right @ time Dexi came out.AZ pissed GI's off,and were only too happy to support Dexi.Arrogance or stupidity, take your pick, but we at Takeda thank you! Your small Nexium selling force,is slowing the bleeding, but this was just another half-assed attempt by AZ! Again, take your pick, arrogance or stupidity? We thank you! Are you going the same route for Crestor?

I know how to increase Crestor sales, just raise the price! The dopes buying it now are already paying 30X too much, so why should they care if they pay even more? Sell it as a "premium product"

Uh, have you seen the share for dexilant? Look it up and then try to make this lame argument. At least try and put some real info with your bluster and drama.
