Diabetes overlay positions

Phone calls in my area went out today for interviews tomorrow. For those who have been displaced, please be aware that an email was sent out to the rest of the company today stating management's preference that current cardiovascular reps move into these overlay positions. So much so, in fact, that management has reopened the posting process for these positions until Thursday afternoon to give these cardiovascular reps more time to apply. It looks like, once again, they've known who they wanted in these positions all along and are going to keep playing games until they get these people to post.

yeah I believe they have an idea of who their choices are. I will take the advice of the poster above and use it as practice. I have not been happy with BI and have to look at this as an opportunity to get the hell out of this industry. Just very difficult not to take it personally when you see some of the people they kept. Most people are not happy here and I would imagine it will get worse.

Some decisions or preferred candidates are made because TBMs were calling reps prior to official postings of the jobs. This was happening before and after the official calls of who was retained and displaced.

Questions were all behavioral. No role playing just all STAR questions. I had about 10 questions. Final decisions will be pushed back until AUG 15th. It was good practice.

They are video like the DMs. You walk through your resume, answer 7 STAR questions. Then they ask "Why should I hire you over the other candidates?" After that is just questions that you have for them. GOOD LUCK!!!
Does anyone else think that doing interviews via video makes it seem like they really don't give a dam who they hire?

At least having an interview (of some kind) gave us the opportunity to sell ourselves and our previous achievements. Unlike the placement process, where dead weight was able to slip through the cracks.

At first, I felt like the other person that responded to your post--that it at least gave me a chance--but I've changed my mind. I interviewed for HSBS and an overlay spot and after each thought that this just isn't the way you go about finding the right person. It is, however, how you do it inexpensively, how you do it in a uniform way to cover your ass against repercussions and (most of all) how you do it when you already have in mind who you want. The emails that went out "encouraging" CV reps to apply showed who they want in these spots.

It's sad to get cut through no fault of your own. But it's just plain ignorant and disrespectful to offer false hope by putting people through token interviews. Hell, the video link didn't work during either interview I had, so I basically had a phone screen.

When a company places people based on the equivalent of a screening interview, it's hard to believe it was ever any more than a smoke screen.

I agree but still think it was better than their "placement process." In the end, that was a complete sham!! Based on ranking? Hell no. Based on where you live? Hell no. WTF WAS THEIR REAL CRITERIA IN THE END?!?! I was replaced and I was ranked at the top of my region and the guy that got the job didn't even live in the territory?!?! WTF

It was all based on wiener size. BI likes small ones.
