With only about 700 patients on therapy how can anyone in sales be hitting goal? There has been 650-700 patients on therapy for the past 2 years. Price increases can only go so far to keep this boat afloat.

Hey if you're making money on volume then no complaints- once you stop making money on volume- major complainants and no real answers. A "real "rare Disease company will give you the "real" answer.

Current gi sales force will be competing with gi takeda sales force for a job to sell the ibs drug come 2019 if the deal goes through.

700 patients on therapy nationwide... sounds like you are in the same boat we are in with Xiidra. With Jennifer Aniston doing commercials for us I thought we could at least get to 1000 scripts by now

700 patients currently on therapy is actually pretty good. Then problem is that Shire paid a bundle for this drug and expected the market to be significantly bigger. Not sure why. NPS said the market would peak about 4-5 years post launch and peak sales would never be over 400mm.
700 SBS patients are a lot of patients especially considering how many patients discontinue therapy.

The problem is Flemming has NO CLUE.

He OVERPAID for every company he acquired while at Shire. NPS, Baxalta, you name it.

When he wasn't busy overpaying he was spending $$$ like a drunken sailor with all his consolidating and ONE Shire BS.

HE's the REASON why Shire is in the mess it's in. He may save his ass in the end and get a big payday thanks to Takeda but his legacy with be that of a FAILED CEO at many companies NOT just Shire.
 












Never mind this jibber jabber. What's with all the vacancies across the country if there is so much business to be had ? One team has had almost compete turnover in 4 months including the manager and oas. Only ones still left there are - just grinning and waiting for the ibs drug.
