DATES OF PANEL INTERVIEWS PLEASE?

i have heard that candidates are starting to hear that they are not being moved forward to panel interviews. I know several that did manager screen but aren't moving on. Anyone else been notified of this?

I thought I had a great interview with the hiring manager. I am not moving forward. I was informed today. Some lame excuse about decision making, LOL. I wonder if that is the canned P1 response.

It's one of the "competencies". It doesn't sound like many externals will be seriously considered. Oh well.

P One is notifying. I heard shortly after lunch that I was not being moved forward. I assume those moved forward will hear by next week. Good luck.

I'm actually happy I was rejected. I have a job, and I truly don't want to go thru all the training.

Good luck to all
Eye was also contacted after lunch an was told i didnt need ta go to panel innerviews. Manager said he was goona hire me and that hr would have me fill out divers license, background check, refetences and drug screen. Told hr would talk to me about compensation later. Im sooo excited.

I think you are correct. I am an external candidate. I was actually quite surprised as I truly thought the interview went very well. I was wrong, LOL.

He seemed to buy into all my answers and was very complimentary, LOL.

I wonder how I didn't meet the competency question expectations? Is that the usual reason for reject--they just choose something? Thanks

Anyone that used lol should be a primary care rep. Which I'm sure you are. Loser.

I agree. I, too, got a reject. I'm actually glad. I live far East, and the Co. is located in San Fran. The home study, starting over, time change, neuros...glad to not have the opportunity deep down!

Your loss, being a CA company the culture far outweighs any eastern Co.

I disagree. I currently work for a Biotech out of California. Being from the East, the travel sucked, the time change sucked and the layovers for all the training sucked. It sucked the life out of me. I, too, am happy and relieved I'm not being moved forward. I don't think at my age, LOL, I can handle all of this travel and training. I'll stick out where I am for 10 years.

Good luck to all though. I know Genentech is a great Company, but I'm relieved I got nixed.

Genentech was a great company, now Roche is in charge and change will come.

How long is the training? Or does anyone have information regarding those timelines? Thank you.

I'm sure DNA will tell you IF you are the lucky one. It's amusing to see y'all getting ahead of yourselves whether it be hotel room, training, car choices, etc.

Let me be clear - y'all can fight for scraps once the insiders are given the new jobs in the MS-land for their old jobs, get it?

What's "good ole boy" code for? Is that like affirmative action or something?

It's a secret code for "county club members". They have a secret handshake that only those on the inside know. Should you be chosen to join the fraternity, you will be hazed and if you survive, will be welcomed into the 1% club. Good luck...you'll need it. You have a 99% chance of not landing a spot with "the firm".

If Genentech is so great then why use a POS company like P1 for recruiting? They are yanking our chains and the phone screens are horrific. The gal I had sounded like a 10 year old and no habla ingles. I don't doubt most hires will be internal after talking with the P1 choke artists. The whole process is a disaster and candidates are bowing out. Perhaps your internal HR department should stop going to Giants games, get off their arses and do some work. Way to launch a new drug fools, P1 SUCKS! Oh and have a nice day.
