CV Jan 31st

So much BS and speculation:(. I think we all agree. Just do it already !! What will be will be but this isn’t good for anybody. Make the cuts. Do whatever. Just get it done. Although i agree with above. Somebody must know !!

Well, regardless of the date, which will be in the next 30-60 days. 120 reps will be absorbed into allergy or immunology launching and selling Remi/Cosentyx. Great, we get the bottom of the barrel of a floundering division...can’t wait. (Eye roll)
What do you mean absorbed into another division?? Says who?
My experience here has shown that cv is not respected and when cv reps interview for other positions ..very few are moved on. This company preaches culture but yet doesn’t promote from within. Instead they bring in leaders from outside novartis and then they hire who they want despite their years with novartis, rankings and recommendations. Can think of more than 20 reps that over the years have tried for other divisions or opportunities and were turned down.. many not even given a courtesy interview.

Well sure, they’ll have to interview and NOT be a unmitigated disaster or have an unsatisfactory track record, etc. But Novartis is currently exercising a one for one or headcount neutral mandate meaning if they lose 100 reps from CRM et al, they will add 100 positions somewhere else. Not to mention it saves the company millions in severance packages. I’m not saying everybody from CRM will come over or find a spot somewhere else, but certainly a big chunk. It’s a win-win for NVS as long as displaced folks aren’t a complete carcass.

Why doesn’t make sense? Shifting resources to where needed.
Because.. if 50% layed off that means 100’s of reps. What divisions could absorb this amount? Even spread across all of them?? Ask any reps and they will tell you in all divisions they are tripping over each other! How is adding more any help! Zero sense. Not to mention novartis is notorious for making it difficult to get a job in another division..they will say.. no renal experience, no oncology previous experience?? Then. Forget it.

so are RDs involved in decision making? I don’t understand why they would have to sign an NDA
They do the NDA to keep the RDs quiet and not talk to their ABLs while they figure out things.
If they talk and executive team finds outs, RD would lose their job.
I heard a reduction to 8 regions from 12. Larger geographies, with 40-50% reduction in ABLs and TAS.
Not sure on the parameters given to ZS.
CV1 reps probably have an advantage because I'm sure they want to keep the call continuum for Leqvio during this process.
I'm guessing it will be effective April 1

The displacement formula that has been used in the past generally looks at
- Past 2-3 years performance
- Pips
- Novartis tenure
- home address in relation to geography
- account /hcp continuity

Also - there’s no advantage to cv1. I’m cvh and I’m very concerned. Sorry. - I know everyone is looking for comfort right now. They’ll be eliminating territories not people.
I.e. if your territory is absorbed by another territory the reps assigned to the new territory will be based on a system of qualifiers.

Spot on with this. A lot will depend on how the new geographies are drawn, and then they will look at all of these qualifiers to determine what reps are eligible for the new geography. Performance and customer overlap are usually the biggest deciding factors on where to map.
