Customer Engagement is a failure

HD here, yes this is a cluster for sure. I spend 95% of my time talking about stuff that has ZERO impact on sales while talking about other things like how I am going to transform society for most of my days. I feel like I am living in the twilight zone. Can't wait for the next package for sure.

hey HD, ecosystem IC here. When do you think the next cuts are coming? USLT denies, denies, denies, but- This holding pattern can’t go on forever. Not that the top people would even let HDs know, but penny for your thoughts...

Listen, layoffs are always just one meeting away. The long term strategies here these days are kept in just a quarter or 2. Everything can change as soon as the numbers don't line up. The people culture is long gone in case you don't already notice. Managers don't get an advanced notice anymore because they worry about leaks. We are always asked to keep things to ourselves but most of us hate this kind of atmosphere. So always have your bags packed and ready. The sales erosion from biosimilars is accelerating much faster than expected. Most IDNs would not even care to talk to us. We should have seen this coming for what we did to them a few years ago. IMHO, we absolutely miscalculated with this top-down approach. These health systems are taking full advantage the competitive market and they are laughing at our vulnerability now. We are in the back of the line nowadays. Genentech completely lost its brand power and leadership. We are in the second tier now. With the subpar senior leadership team, dubious strategies, poor morale, and add the D&I initiatives that suck the oxygen out of our tank, we are marching to a disaster fast. My bags are packed. One more interview and I am out of here. Don't wait too long before Genentech becomes a big liability in your resume.

We're now 18 months out since we first started this journey. What do we have to show for it?

- An 8% year over year decline in sales
- A new cadre of leaders who aren't held accountable for dwindling business performance
- Almost zero new meaningful collaboration or co-creation with customers
- Balloning of expenses on internally facing meetings and training
- No progress towards the Triple Aim

Did I miss anything?

This is gold. Heed the warning. You’ve been warned over and over. Pull your head out of the sand. Health care systems haven’t forgotten the shenanigans of Gene’s past business dealings. They will kick you when you’re down.

IC from above here. Yeah, I know this. I actually would like them to offer me a package, and I’m trying to figure out when the next round might be, because that would play into my timing for exiting, which will happen either way. Cheers!

I would have no reservation to share what I know since I have completely lost my loyalty and trust in our senior leadership. IMHO, I don't think they even know what they don't know. You must appreciate the fact that this is the least competent group of senior leaders we've ever had at GNE. Some of them are just dangerously ignorant, incautious, and downright stupid. Frankly, the worst part is that we are no longer transparent or people focused. They simply abandoned this core principle that we used to hold firmly in the past. We used to frown upon those who appeared callous and dishonest on the leadership team. Just take a look at the HDs we retained and you can see the new culture. Now they really look at sales and marketing as a significant liability and cost factor. So layoffs are very quick to become a topic without hesitation in our P&L discussions. So cuts are always just one discussion away. My last advice is do not trust anything they tell you. Good luck!

I’m on a co-promote with Genentech, and my question is, are you people ever going to leave the house? I haven’t had a partner since January. A lot of complaining here from a bunch of people who have done ZERO this year!

My thoughts exactly. Seems the ones with the"right mindset," can't sell sit except for excuses. Also hear its like the Hunger Games over there. RN Educators, field coaches, HDs and TMs are all jockeying for who's taking credit for the BS that's done on a daily basis, to achieve zero results.

Welcome to the new partnership with this sinking boat. They have clueless and incompetent leaders who are aiming directly to the iceberg. All the smart people have left or been pushed out. What you have are snakes, jackasses and kiss-ass clowns. You signed a contract to collaborate with a biotech. Now you are stuck with BLM, LBGT and a bunch of donkeys. You should ask for your money back, really!
