Customer Engagement is a failure

We're now 18 months out since we first started this journey. What do we have to show for it?

- An 8% year over year decline in sales
- A new cadre of leaders who aren't held accountable for dwindling business performance
- Almost zero new meaningful collaboration or co-creation with customers
- Balloning of expenses on internally facing meetings and training
- No progress towards the Triple Aim

Did I miss anything?

Any shred of respect for a once great company.....gone!

Is an 8% reduction in revenue bad considering the circumstances? Remember, most of our products require office visits which grinded to a halt. It's not like oral meds where medications can be automatically refilled and sent via the mail.

Whoever came up with this Customer Engagement name is either a first class idiot or has a sick sense of humor. So now all the people with the right "mindset" have been hired. How is it working out for this sinking ship? Are the ecosystems turning all the healthcare systems into our best buddies? Our genius HDs can't even get a phone appointment! I think we are the legend in our own little empty head! The only upside of this debacle is that we may eventually get rid of BA, AH and all the mean girls with our downward spiral revenue loss. One can always dream....

Uh yes. We are in the midst of a Pandemic. Perhaps not being able to adequately interact with customers has some bearing on results. Just thinking outside the box.

Bull shit, look at some of our competitors, they rebounded in Q3 and are growing year or year business and most are working from home. Most Chronic disease patients went back to their doctors after a few months, most doctors were back in business within a month and reality says they chose other options that best fit their patient’s needs, if trust in a company fits in here, then they don’t trust this cesspool

So sad. From the pinnacle of research, development and sales people to a politically correct sack of shit run by incompetent leadership. A warning to all other companies thinking to implement such a stupid business model. Pride comes before the fall.....

HD here, yes this is a cluster for sure. I spend 95% of my time talking about stuff that has ZERO impact on sales while talking about other things like how I am going to transform society for most of my days. I feel like I am living in the twilight zone. Can't wait for the next package for sure.

Customer Engagement is a not failure. It is a DISASTER!
Failure by definition is to try to accomplish something with lack of success. The whole customer engagement concept as we know it is never about customer engagement and it has zero chance to succeed. The idea came out from a boardroom filled with a bunch of clueless MeToo silicon-valley-wannabes and left wing progressives. It was a horrible concept from the start with an even worse execution. These clowns has turned this cluster into a total circus. Talented and hard working people became their collateral damage. It is a microcosm of the current state of our society. If Venezuela is your kind of country, the new GNE is a perfect place for you.

Agreed. It had nothing to do with "Customer Engagement." It had to do with a catch phrase business model title to appeal to the political leaders in their backyard, ie: Pelosi and the Liberal left in Washington. To gain support for government healthcare reimbursement "Medicare," as they would know what works best. It was a social, business and academic experiment by the left wing progressives in hopes to use as an example of how businesses should be run in America. Unfortunately those in the corporate office drank this cool aid for their own gain at the dismay to real hardworking business people and a once reputable company. Epic and historical failure! Let this be a lesson to all other industries and companies. Suck it Genentech!

I’m on a co-promote with Genentech, and my question is, are you people ever going to leave the house? I haven’t had a partner since January. A lot of complaining here from a bunch of people who have done ZERO this year!

You must be Novartis, shocking that you’re out in the field. No one else is so you be the douche bag who gets banned for good for being non-essential and trying to get into practices. That will work out well in the long run. F...ing primary care reps
