Nice email from Gonzales. All about how the home office is protecting itself, tone deaf to field reps.
So they are restricting meetings to no more than 10 people, maintaining social distance? Meanwhile we are told to continue with MEI programs and lunches? Smashed together at a table? Possibly carrying the virus from office to office?

So many people on this thread are complaining about not being pulled out of the offices we visit.
Be careful what you wish for. Many offices will find that they don’t really need us all that much. The company will make it very easy for the providers to get samples through the mail. As with many aspects of life today.....the entire pharmaceutical landscape will be different after this crisis has passed.

Certainly not wishing for it. It’s the responsible thing to do. It’s what is being advised to do. While what you say could be possible, couldn’t the reverse be possible as well? There could be countless opportunities to help offices meet the needs of patients, maybe even more than before.

Pfizer has grounded all field reps. Completely irresponsible if Abbvie does not follow suit. Its exposing us and patients to the virus.

I agree conference calls or quizzes. . I think we could get some minor backlash from offices customers thinking we are not being responsible but I think over all it will be fine.
I agree this is really crappy for the infield teams. But us office folks aren’t thrilled either. Schools are all cancelled. Other pharma have closed offices. We have laptops, WiFi etc yet they refuse to close the office. So some people, with decent bosses, work from home while others are forced to go in.
