It’s time Novartis take more serious action to minimize employee risk including meetings and manager ride alongs. Any travel or meetings that are unnecessary or can be delayed should be cancelled.

I’m not talking about the reps going to offices. I’m just saying that any contact that is not absolutely necessary should be halted for the time being. If a meeting can be accomplished via Skype or conference call it should be. Also, managers should not fly for a field visit. It’s not that crucial.

at least they finally did the right thing, banning all international business travel today.

next measure will be to restrict your HCP visits in the hot zones.

What would happen if they do that? It’s not we can work from home

i think the decision will be made for us soon. Got notified of some lunches cancelling and our hospital access is starting to get shut off. These facilities want to minimize interactions to slow down or reduce spread. I really think that’s more important then our marketing message. I’m not so worried for myself but the risk of us being carriers is real, and I don’t want to be responsible for giving it to someone. I can’t believe Novartis hasn’t really addressed field interactions yet. We are most at risk to contract and spread, but thank god precautions have been made at home office. (Insert sarcasm)

The incubation period for the virus can be up to 2 weeks. 1 rep going into offices could expose hundreds of people in that time. This is madness. Get your sh#t together Novartis.

Lighten up Francis. There's no reason to call anyone stupid. Simply saying that direction on how to move forward with our offices is probably coming soon, IMO. Seems like the issue is becoming important to many and what Novartis' position is at this point is of interest.

The Trump administration has faced widespread criticism over its response to the coronavirus outbreak, particularly problems that have led to a lack of testing kits.

In Wednesday's hearing, Fauci presented the coronavirus outbreak to lawmakers in stark terms and warned against large gatherings.

"We would recommend that there not be large crowds. If that means not having any people in the audience as the NBA plays, so be it," he said.

"We will see more cases, and things will get worse than they are right now," he added.

The US's top infectious-diseases expert said 'it would be nice' if Trump hadn't scrapped the NSC's global-health unit
