Now that the patient has almost bled out, let's see what we can do with a couple of bandaids and a transfusion.
Fact of the matter that a medical manufacture which depends on it's agents relationships and infrastructure builds this relationship with time and trust. Trust in this business is hard won and quickly lost. Think of your own relationships with your docs, hospitals and ASC's. We survive BECAUSE of our reputations.
It's not an interchangeable agent/rep type of business. It certainly sounds good to a accountant like Tucker to just hire the next swinging dick in the territory.
I represented Acumed for over 15 years and was fired with a phonecall from SC and Tard that, "won't take but a minute". Those snakes were plotting behind my back with other agents while we were killing our quota. Thinking that they could just hire someone else enforce their 30 day out and take my reps was a HUGE +1 million dollar mistake.
By the time I was done there was nothing but scorched earth here and it's still that way. The Arthrex, Wright and Trimed reps dive bombed that business and it was all gone in two weeks.
My perspective at the last sales meeting where Randy was there I mentioned to several fellow agents that this was a bad situation, with too many accounting-beancounters running the show to make it lean and mean. All this while we couldn't get enough instruments to take care of our present cases much less grow.
The fools at Acumed, (Colson), left Tard to terminate the folks that built it. Do you think the doctors that use it would just keep on if a company can show the least amount of care for their manufacture/agent relationships why would they continue with the product line when there are so many more available.
Yup,,, you MF in corp there at Acumed,,,you are now reaping what you've sown.
