Here is a look at 10 Things We Learned during Meyer’s first spring game at Ohio State.
1. Meyer is a little bit nuts. Before things even officially got started Saturday, Meyer put some of his top players to the test in front of thousands of Ohio State fans. The Buckeyes came together at midfield for what they call the “Circle Drill,” which pits two players against each other in a battle of strength…and will. That’s hardly an entirely new concept. The Buckeyes used to have a “Hoot-n-Holler” drill that was somewhat similar, but I’m not sure how many times Jim Tressel ever had his quarterbacks get in the ring like Meyer did Saturday with Braxton Miller and Kenny Guiton.

u said u were coming in for the opener. look for us in the NW corner of the Jesse Owens lot. largest party going. huge winnebago painted scarlet & grey. will have 9 kegs, smoked whole turkeys, imported cheeses, french bread and of course 4 grills. brats, burgers and steaks. come visit! also don't forget the alabama game 9/22. i have 4 tickets i will give you for free. not much interest in that game since we will win by 60. i will give em to ya. noon kickoff. alabama 9/22/12. we start jacking it up around 8 am for a noon start. the brats are made by my italian uncle so they are really fresh. more italian sausage in mild or hot. fresh rolls driven in by a frat brother from Philly. the best rolls in the world. stone ground mustard. come on over. we will have enough to feed 100 people!
 






alabama is coming north to play "ohio" (as zip calls em) so lots of confusion. one thing is for SURE. alabama is playing ohio. is it saban? is it ohio in green & white uniforums from athens? no worries. it is alamaba vs ohio. we love it in columbus. the winner is the winner of the states. alabama versus the state of ohio. i say ohio wins by 60
alabama goes down really really hard. it should almost be called off. this in an ohio team that has a new coach, new staff and new system with only one month of recruiting. the penalties also had to hurt recruiting of course. lost quite a few.
however, 2013 class is almost full already. with the 3 schollie losses for 2 yrs due to the penalty. JUST REMEMBER the penalty is not for recruiting violations, faking grades, et al. it was for NOT turning in players for getting free tattoos in exchange for trading their jerseys, cleats etc. wrong...... tress was wrong and is NOT welcome in this town .. even for the 10 yr reunion for the 2002 NC champs. oh! neither tress nor clarrett are welcome. we have a new refreshing culture. doing it the right way. tress is a liar and and a fake. his politician christian thing faked us out. he is a born liar. clarrett is a criminal. we dont want them around. they will not attend the reunion.
no more lying in our program. urban 3:16 does it the right way. no person in their right mind can deny he is not only one of the top 3 coaches in the nation but also a recruiter. having mike vrabel remain on staff was sooooooooooooooo stratetic. these recruits watched him in super bowls and pro bowls. they have never seen another coach nor asst. in the nation do that. do you think he can teach some young kids how to rush the passer? duh. how to use your quick arms and develop into an nfl rusher. duh. they want to be here. latest eg joey bosa. he knows tOSU is the best place to prepare him for the nfl. just like the other 2 DE's who are 5 stars. honestly.................if i were a 5 star rusher, i would be a little concerned. toooooooo many good rushers at osu. i guess they are true competitors. BEING VERY non biases here and honest.......somthing like this other poster is not willing to do......i am the bigger man........the cycle of talent is with the sec. urban is now getting those types of players. speed. speed. speed. about time tress was a mental midget. alabama last year had a DL that could very well have been faster than 50% of nfl teams. i did not say BETTER. i said faster. that #41 from bama is a freak. he could play safety but was a DE. my best friend coaches in FL. told me (after playing at OSU wiht me) that the DL in FL where he coaches could literally run the high hurdles in track at 265 if they wanted to. diff. athletes. all different. too much speed. NOW is when we will get it. we have a great town and a great recruiter. i promise PROMISE you all top 5 recruiting gurus will have tOSU either #1or #2 in the nation from 2013-2020. top 2. urban has a quote above his screen in the main tape room "we recruit the fastest players in the nation" THAT was at florida. not here yet. but.......promise he will get there. he doesnt care if the kid weighs 170. wants world class speed. see--percy harvin. we will get those. doing so now. watch and see the short passing game. 5 yard darts. what was tressell doing??? why did we pay him millions. i AM sick of his sweater vest and politics and actually agree with zippy on this. he is a joke. we now have a coach who can and will compete with saban. it is about time. i am sooooo gladd tress got caught lying. if not,,,,,,he would still be here running off tackle 3 plays in a row.......how boooooooring. it was misery. i have no clue how they beat FL in 2002. it was some luck due to that late call. FL clearly had the better team. i am just happy and exicted. anyone who would post negatively to this clearly has issues. it was well balanced and honest.

ohio state is in a new era. now the top2 coaches in the country can go toe to toe. it will be great for college fb! the 2 greatest offensive minds will go at it. the 2 best recruiters will go at at it. how can u not like that.?

it will take 2-3 yrs for recruiting and the new system to set in. i say in 2013 or 2014 thru 2020 it will be a 2 team showdown. osu vs alabama. every yr. maybe usc will slip in there once in a while.
dont keep tying to quell our excitement for our university. it is not right. my mom, dad and myself all love osu. it is fun. it was even fun at 6-7. not a lot of fun but we still partied and had fun.
i think it is good for college fb! for god's sake it would have only been the sec in the title game every year if we did not get urban! grow up. if you truly LOVE college fb, you would like to see the OSU play an sec team play in the NC. too boring to see ala vs lsu play. that is why such low ratings ...lowest ever. then we can all hoot and holler! makes it more fun.! alabama was not even fair last year. they will have 5 draft picks in the top 20 this yr. they were freaks. too fast. too strong. far superior. one thing i love about osu is the now lack of QB's who "son't wear sunscreen" u now what i mean. we had one who left. urban will run them out for a new schollie. it is all new. no more sweater vest politician. we have a MAN who says it all. les miles is an embarrassment,so is Hoke. I ran over Hoke all night long my sr. year in hs. he was a "meow!" he is a joke and so is miles. it is now ALL urban and saban. decade......................makes it fun. how can this compare to a super bowl???? it cant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Orleans and Orlando are the 2 biggest tourist/convention cities in America ya dumb bASTARD. Both are in the heart of SEC country. Sorry Linus but ya lose again. You wear your SEC Envy very well though.

weather is identical to lexington, ky. 4 seasons. we love a white xmas, leaves burning in the fall and beautiful springs. florida!!!! i "use it" & hit the condo in Jan or Feb. the rest of the yr FL is living hell. might as well live in a sauna. burn your butt on your car seats. in fact you can literally burn your hands on your steering wheel. it bites. all the towns except for New Orleans are horrible run down billy boy towns. rebel flags and toothless moonshiners galore. we have jack nicklaus and nothing but class.
dont forget the top 5 winners and top 5 heisman schools. no sec to be seen.!! tOSU is in both. !!! GO BUCKS! LARGEST campus in the nation so to say no hot ladies you must be more stupid than i thought. 67K students and all the girls are ugly. righto matey.

Linus, here is a hard cruel dose of reality for ya. Ohio gave up an average of 40 points per game in 2 head to head blow out national title losses to the SEC. ohio is the SEC`s favorite b!tch.
 












SEC had 5 of the top 10 picks in the NFL draft tonight. And linus and `lil man wonder why the SEC has a 6 Peat going. Uh, `lil 1o had zero players taken in the top 10 picks of 1st round. SEC ENVY
 






9 SEC players taken in the 1st round of NFL draft before 1 single little 10 player was selected. This kind of spells it out how and why the SEC has 6 Peated and is so superior to the little 10.

12. Ohio State continually changes their jerseys. You may have noticed that this website has the same colors as their jerseys: red and black. There is no gray on their jerseys. I guess they don't have a tradition worth upholding.

13. Ohio State's "greatest" tradition is the "Dotting of the I." Forgive me for not being impressed by the talent required for some tuba player to bow. This is particularly embarrassing, since the script Ohio was invented by the Michigan Marching Band in 1932.
