CMX is a train wreck

Nothing concrete announced at CMX yet. We expect any announcements at end of April or early May. Worth noting that WARN notice laws are different in MA than NJ and CA with respect to timing and threshold that includes a percentage of site.

From MA WARN,
"The term “mass layoff” means a reduction in force which first, is not the result of a plant closing, and second, results in an employment loss at the single site of employment during any 30-day period for:

(i) At least 33 percent of the active employees, excluding part-time employees, and
(ii) At least 50 employees, excluding part-time employees.

Where 500 or more employees (excluding part-time employees) are affected, the 33% requirement does not apply, and notice is required if the other criteria are met."

No official announcements at CMX but layoff warnings have been communicated in some smaller departmental group meetings. This can get ugly, get your resume ready and find good contacts

aww so cute - yes it will cutie it will crash and burn….look at Sanofi and J&J, both had opened brand new buildings just to gut them 1-2 years later ….
Relax cutie, those were clearly bad bets. There's a lot more with this ugly building at CMX as much as I like to see it crash and burn as you. Two sites merged and too many at the top to get rid off. This is here to stay.

Please explain how those were bad bets and this is not? Too much redundancy here at CMX…chop chop baby!

Does anyone have real information about the upcoming layoffs. They were announced in February. Robert said they would occur end of April beginning of May. We're in that timeframe. Instead of posting garbage and nonsense does anyone have any REAL information?

We will hear on Monday, CMX is sadly a part of it. At least one Team leader and an associate from each group are being let go. R&D has always been dead at BMS in the last 10 years.
