I don't think you get it my friend. We will be getting rid of some people but it won't be the quintiles people. It will be a good amount of you and your partners. Quintiles reps are much much cheaper and they have done a great job. Primary care and pseudo specialities do not need reps that are employed by the pharma company to the degree they used to in the past. Look at many other co's in those channels. 50% of their reps are contract and 50% are actual employees. That's the trend and it's going to happen here soon! Get used to it.

The Quintiles reps know their time with Takeda is limited. The term of our contract was made very clear at our hire date, which came after about 8 interviews for me. We were scrutinized and asked the tough questions from the beginning. Yes, There are some that aren't as hard working or quick to catch on as others. But taking to a forum of this nature and bashing us is not the way to give us any sort motivation. How about a little maturity and face to face conversations to voice your concerns. If you feel your rep is slacking, there are proper channels to go through to make that fact known. Takeda is pleased with our work and you should be too. You get your bonus at the end of the day.

I've only got her on contract for two years, but once the kids require less share of voice, as kids tend to do as they grow older, then we can ask her to move out and go back to the way things were before. Ha Ha, yes omg yes! Rudolphi's promises about letting Quintiles reps go is hard to believe. Although, many contracts end with reps being displaced when there's not another contract they can be placed on. Good luck Q temps! Whispers are we may not exercise the full 2 years!

That basically describes the feeling Takeda reps have towards this contract. Problem is really not with us Q reps, I'm good friends with my counterparts. It really boils down to mgt treating tenured reps like crap. It's really low class of them to do it this way in my opinion. Don't blame the Takeda reps for feeling pissed off. I would too! Nobody wants to invest their life and career with a cheapskate company, I personally am looking elsewhere and would not commit to working for a company like Takeda. Upper mgt rewards themselves, but treats reps like a number that has no value.
 








Look people, there are way too many of us Takeda reps to begin with, but this Quintiles thing is starting to look pretty stupid. They added some "Bark" (share of voice) during initial launch, but are now getting in the way. The launch phase is basically over and we've got this covered and do not require additional voice. Frankly, our customers are becoming quite irritated with so many people trying to discuss the same thing, not to mention it is starting to hurt our access. The young man helping us has caused us all a few migraines trying to get him trained, I say it's time for them to go help another pharma launch something new!
