Can we get rid of the Quintiles contract now?

Look people, there are way too many of us Takeda reps to begin with, but this Quintiles thing is starting to look pretty stupid. They added some "Bark" (share of voice) during initial launch, but are now getting in the way. The launch phase is basically over and we've got this covered and do not require additional voice. Frankly, our customers are becoming quite irritated with so many people trying to discuss the same thing, not to mention it is starting to hurt our access. The young man helping us has caused us all a few migraines trying to get him trained, I say it's time for them to go help another pharma launch something new!

And the fact that they are hiring us if we apply to the nationwide job openings speaks volumes... Takeda is going to hire us and lay the stale takeda reps off because we cost less and are more attractive. Kiss up now old heads, we will be your hiring managers soon.
 




You are kidding right. Every pharma company has two reps per territory? No, only the ones who hire incompetent people. The companies who have confident in their reps only have one person per territory. You can tell how good a companies reps are by the number of reps per territory. The more reps, the more worthless they are. Common sense.

Better looking? In my area they hired a kid who barely has teeth, a girl with the biggest legs and shoulders a linebacker would die for & this troll of a girl that is embarrassing to be around.

I was really hoping that was the case but these reps are all sad looking.

No they won't. You heard Rudolphi say....."As the need for share of voice diminishes, as it does in every product life cycle, we will be able to end our contract thereby avoiding the impact to our Takeda representatives".

If these green horns don't land a permanent gig with us, eventually (sooner not later) they will be gone! TRUTH

Let's hope it's soon! Most of these kids brains haven't even fully developed (age 25) yet. I swear it's like babysitting duty every day!! Please end this contract so they can go live at home until they become mature adults, and then enter the workforce!! Wise up Takeda, you get what you pay for. Sorry Kids, no offense - I was young and stupid too!

I don't think you get it my friend. We will be getting rid of some people but it won't be the quintiles people. It will be a good amount of you and your partners. Quintiles reps are much much cheaper and they have done a great job. Primary care and pseudo specialities do not need reps that are employed by the pharma company to the degree they used to in the past. Look at many other co's in those channels. 50% of their reps are contract and 50% are actual employees. That's the trend and it's going to happen here soon! Get used to it.

I also heard Alan McKenzie say there will be no major downsizing right after we acquired TAP... and... THERE WAS A MAJOR DOWNSIZING! I also heard Doug Cole say we need everyone in this room... and... WE DIDN'T AND HAD A LAYOFF OF 38% OF THE SALES FORCE 5 MONTHS LATER!! If they actually say it out loud you know they will do the opposite. That's they way it has worked here since 2008!! Get smart and understand that you are a number here. If the contract team shows they are as effective (and many of them are) as most of us, we are the ones that will be gone. Think about it. They are motivated and happy and work twice as hard. They don't have the baggage that all of us have with the prior lay offs, managed by fear tactics and our entitlement mentality that we cultivated when times were good. This is all they know and lets face it they bust their butts a heck of a lot harder than we do. I say bring it on. I'm ready for my package and a fresh start at another company or in another industry. It sucks here.

And as true as this is for the reps, it's even more true of TPUSA management and executives. They can all be easily replaced with lower paid higher performance management recruited from outside.

Alan McKenzie and Doug Cole both knew layoffs were inevitable right after the so called integration. The words they spoke to the sales force we're hollow. Why expect anything different now?
 
















It's time for you to put your big boy/girl pants on and accept the fact that Quintiles reps are here. Either work with them or leave. You'd think after a year you would stop crying about it. This is the same negative attitude that is going to make you irrelevant.

We get it- you are worried about your job so the daggers are out, but stop demoralizing everyone around you because the end result will still be the same... If not worse. The tempertantrum we've all seen many Takeda reps have is embarrassing for the rest of us. This is business, Takeda is not what it used to be for a reason and contract reps are here for a reason.

P.s. Your elitist attitude makes you look SO closed minded and ignorant. Do yourself a favor and just stop.

Exactly.. We're all out here selling with a common goal. Constantly talking about the differences between quintiles and takeda reps is a waste of breath and NOT making anyone money. The future of pharma may heavily involve contract reps. I urge you to stop putting your foot in your mouth.
