2006- STJ is told by a few physicians that they are seing issues with Riata
2008- STJ internal audit confirms that Riata has insulation issues
Between 2008 and 2010 when STJ stops selling Riata more that 10,000 additional patients are placed in harms way by the implantation of a Riata.
2010- STJ issues an alert on Riata leads after almost 800 confirmed failures of Riata. This communication is seen by almost no physicians in US
2011- Irish group publishes on externalized conductors.
2011- Dan Starks claims that the study is flawed and that they have mainly a single coil 8F issue.
Nov 2011- STJ recalls Riata in a communication that is labelled by the FDA as a class one recall.
2012- Hauser publishes on deaths associated with Riata Failure. STJ response is that there were not 22 deaths but in fact 20. They ask for a redaction of the manuscript and are denied.
Carlson claims that Durata is significantly different. Fluent IN FACTS website is launched. This website show clearly that the only difference between 7f riata and durata is the optim layer which is supposed to be 10x more abrasion resistant and should virtually eliminate outside in abrasion.
May 2012- HRS Dr Love gives an impassioned talk about how Riata is very different from Durata. His slides demonstrate that optim is the only difference.
(Key point 8F Riata and 7Fr Riata shown in various studies to be failing. The difference in failure rate between them may only be due to difference in time since implant)
June 2012- FDA issues a statement calling for Durata to be entered in a fluroscopy registry and saying that they see Durata as significantly simiar to Riata. Quickflex leads recalled due to externalized conductors.
July 2012- STJ releases their data from their first fluoroscopy registry. This shows greater than 9% externalization in both 7 and 8 fr models.
2012- Hauser releases data showing that there is a large ammount of outside in abrasion failure in the Durata lead, something that should have been prevented by optim.
Nov 2012- MDT scientist releases data showing Optim is at risk for hydrolysis. Two published case studies show pictures of Durata insulation degradation that may be evidence of this failure.
Today- STJ continues to claim despite all evidence to the contrary that Durata is safe. They have not issued any reply to the hydrolysis allegation. Dr Love has not implanted a Durata since Aug 2012. The FDA has issued a warning letter to STJ about the facility in which they manufacture Durata. STJ told everyone that the letter did not specify issues with Durata. The FDA made the letter public and virtually all issues adressed in the letter had to do with Durata.

Every day more patients get a Durata and much like Riata STJ is holding steady that nothing is wrong. They have been shown over and over again to put profits ahead of patients. Untill physicians stand up and say ENOUGH! They will continue

Its called transparency for you stj dbs. Anyone who sold Riata and now sells Durata is a true db that has NO place in a quality discussion. So when will Durata be pulled from the shelf there optim boy? Tick tock tick tock..... This is too much fun!!!! Lmfao!!!!! Stj knew in 05 Riata was a problem. In 10 they issues a weak ass communication that about 20% of customers saw. Then class 1 recall in 11. You call that acceptable? How many dead atlas cans have you seen? Where's the communication on that asshole. Pathetic.

That would be the weak ass resume that has quicker BSX Butt for 7 years, like very other Device rep has.! Lmao as we replace another stj lead that looks great in the ppr. No one cares or believes you guys anymore. My customers don't even talk about stj much less use them. Only ones left are those on te payroll. I think Starks did the "independent" analysis......
