Bottom 10% of NBU gone in 4 weeks!

The bottoms 10% is inaccurate. The fat will be trimmed (overpaid reps) based on territory profitability. Think how much do I cost the company divided by my total volume.

Then post sale the field will be reduced to about 30% of what it is today with the remaining reps getting new cuts and potentially promoting different products.

This is unfortunately where seniority will come into play and the newer reps will end up taking the hit with little to no severance if you joined in the last 12 months. If your in that spot, I suggest you have options lined up by July 15th.

Recently worked with RD and he told me that less tenured reps will likely be OK especially if their new Rx numbers are good. It is the older reps that are in jeopardy due to higher salaries, poor new Rx performance, and GPS-tracking of work day - - - on average, 4 hours less than newer reps.

BS. RDs are crapping themselves because they are afraid for their own jobs. They know RDs are being let go left and right. Check out the West for example... One state only has one RD where there used to be three.

RDs are scrambling to make sure they can ride their reps into the ground and show growth on their own list of HCPs. They don't know if they will have a job each week let alone if their reps will. Good thing for the company is that most RDs are not leaders and will trust that there will be a reward.

Shire has stopped giving out severance.....period. This also applies to people let go for performance reasons only. Only way anyone gets severance again is if it is a mass layoff or reduction or done at the time of a realignment or downsizing. Performance is a joke now also. They are literally making up our numbers. Look at this slide, and you are kicking a$$, look at this slide, and your numbers suck.

How many Mydayis prescribers do not appear in your numbers ever? Have a great week volume wise for Vyvanse, and your goal attainment goes up, but your change vs mkt goes down. Have a great change vs mkt, and you are always below goal. It is very, very rare to see very good change vs mkt and great goal attainment simultaneously. You could be having a Presidents’ Club type year where you are growing share and awesome change vs market, but not even making goal attainment. Sad, it really is, and Mydayis is trash.

They are just making up numbers. How are some reps doing well while others struggle? Just take a look at their huge markets! They treat every territory like it is the same when they are not. I have to laugh thinking about MR's inspired speech at the last NSM. Basically just told us that the NBU was good, and 10% week over week was the expectation. Fat chance.

I can tell you for certain that less tenured Shire reps will NOT survive a takeover. In a best case they may be allowed to reapply for a much lower salary since they don’t have anything negative against them.

What are you talking about? Market size doesn’t equal easy territory. Some of the largest volume territories are the most difficult due to access in large med centers. I agree that some of the territories have an unfair advantage after they were un-indexed and the territories were cut off that volume. Especially high Medicaid territories.

Are you under the impression that surviving this dumpster fire is winning?

Certainly not. Everyone should have got out 3 months - a year ago. Find a Small Pharma company with new products and new funding and ride the wave while they are paying. A few just launched and scalped quite a few of Shire's top performers.

Any of these "less tenured" reps being talked about that joined in the last 6-8 months are morons and didn't do their homework.

I admit, I stayed to long but thats due to my geography. Funny thing is, I turned down a Takada offer 6 months ago.

Since the takeover has hit a bump, we need to dial it up and double our call average to drive NBU sales growth!! We have a real chance to save Shire and our jobs!! Let's crank up our customer calls big time. Consider Saturday calls as well. #savetheShire

Someone save this post. We finally have evidence we need to get reps paid overtime for forcing us to work weekends. I'll take time and half!

What are you talking about GPS tracking?? That's a rumor that has been spread though every company.....most reps would be gone long ago if that were the case. What's your proof??

I really doubt they are looking at GPS. That has been a long time rumor with every company. What's your proof?? Most reps would be long gone if that were the case!
Given Shire's bottom rating for its sales force, an outside firm is auditing poor sales performers to determine their actual account activity. Fake calls = FIRED!

im so scared lol
Idiot. Even if this was true there is no way to audit squat with any accuracy that would hold up in court after your ass gets sued off. It would be a discriminatory practice in my state. Stop lying.

No one said easy, but you have more opportunity. Guess what? Large markets aren't the only ones with med centers.
