Haha this is what happens when someone gets promoted based on ass kissing vs having talent and leadership abilities. Gotta hand it to the High School grad for making it this far, well done!
No travel for VP’s because of Corona but they want us going to accounts? That is a hell of a way to develop trust. Do as I say not as I do.

CPL truly has a problem with promoting the wrong people and that is why we are in such a horrible position. Bobby is truly incompetent as are the people he surrounds himself with.
CPL truly has SO much untapped potential but is held back by incompetent leaders. Few traits are as central to the anatomy of incompetence as arrogance. Bobby’s biggest problem is he thinks he is a great leader (arrogance) but he is not. He also surrounds himself with “yes men” who #1 are just as incompetent as him or #2 too weak to provide feedback.
As we enter the biggest recession of our lifetime we need competitive, competent leaders to guide us thru the tough times. Unfortunately we get “go sell something” and song lyrics. You can have the most positive person in the world rearranging the chairs in the titanic but it is still going to sink.
Here are just a few that would help us step up our game:
- Billing department overhaul
- Accountability in lab
- Online appointment scheduling
- Increase test compendium
- Mobile Check-in
- APP
- LIS that works?
- Managed Care TEAM (emphasis on team)
- Specialty Testing - In House!
- Have you seen LabCorp Link?
- Accudraw equivalent
- Hospital sales strategy (increase test compendium)
- Web based account invoices
- In house IT department (interfacing is a joke)

This thread is hilarious and accurate! I have gone thru 3 presidents. In that time lots of talk and no action. Lab needs an overhaul, billing needs an overhaul, half VP’s need to go, and GM role makes no sense. Just a way Bobby can pay his friends more.
Sonic needs to hire from outside to get some fresh blood and ideas. Reorg the upper management, overhaul billing, lab, and invest in patient experience, sales, and managed care.
How long before Bobby implodes on himself and just has a breakdown? True leaders character comes out in stress and struggle and this man is no leader.
