BL Quality

In Wave 1 only global quality was impacted but not much.
Wave 2 in 90 days will wipe out chunk of them in supplier quality,
plant quality and some more leadership. Remember Quality
Reduction is a good part of $500 million reduction. MP did not listen
to Gowen, do you think he is going to listen to what is left
of Quality leadership in Rochester.
They are coming like flesh eating zombies and MP is the biggest
and the fastest of them all.
Bye bye BL quality systems.

You have no info regarding this so stop spreading crappy rumors.
MP does care for customer based functions and quality is not
the same as IT or HR or finance. I am sure MP cares a little.

It's already been confirmed by local news channels 302 more at goodman st and 106 more downtown. Valeant had to file papers with NYS labor and news channels found the documents. These people at goodman st. can very likely be quality, more d&r, and area 11 engineering since they weren't hit yet. This is going to happen Nov. 4th. There's not that more "fat" to cut yet except for these areas. If ya ask me Valeant already had them targeted, but backed off for now due to the bad press they have been getting here in Rochester.

I know for fact that 100 of them are quality in Rochester, Tampa and other US sites.
MP intentionally did this as he still wants to be seen as a caring
and compliant. But it is coming for quality folks.
MP had asked Gowen to strip them and he refused initially to be part of this,
and he was asked to leave but now Gowen is back again and will be reducing quality
to make his promised short term bonus.
End of the day it is all about money period and Valeant is
buying ex BL execs like Dan, Gowen, D f'n Souza and the scraps of
left over. All of these execs had said we hate Valeant and that they
will go down fighting but now they are back as slithering leeches sucking
for Valeant money and looking for payday in cash.
Nice going Gowen, Dan, Crappy Souza, and few
of the other immoral ex BL pigs.

Sorry quality folks, your ultimate godfather Gowen is back
to eliminate you in Outside US regions. And then D F'n Souza,
I like that name (kudos to whoever came up with it) will team up
with others in Ops and Quality to shred US quality.
DONOT listen to any more positive encouragement, just
work on yourself and plan for your family and not
for Valeant and working for a non-compliant
leadership.
Good luck people.

What is left of quality in rochester probably there to help the regions get their quality dept running. The regions will be in charge of quality. Quality people at the locations better be ready to double up. Huge cost savings.

I don't work in quality but I know some extremely great quality people in Rochester, Aliso, St. Louis, Tampa, Greenville, Clearwater, Rancho and Irvine. These people have always
been understaffed and given significant tasks to lead and I have a lot
of respect for them because hey are just about the only
accountable group I can point to.
I wonder what the QA group themselves think about
Valeant and the left over members in BL leadership.
I hope some of them are kept for sake of whatever
is left of BL she'll.

I am surprised that none of my quality colleagues want to chime in the current state of affairs.
What happened to the outspoken bunch, I thought
I would get some feedback from them. They must be so shell shocked
that they are trying to figure out how can they consciously
work for the most unethical company Valeant.

I'm in the quality organization and I don't know who my boss is yet. Infighting is now occurring to see who manages who. Fortunately, I've found a way to exit with my dignity intact. Valeant is an oxymoron. My prediction is that this pyramid scheme will collapse with investors and workers holding the bag while mealy mouth Mike and his cronies exit with their millions.

My friend you are in much better shape in terms of reporting structure. Most of the company
doesn't know who the heck reports to who.
The leaders who are left behind are morons especially in America Region.

Shell shocked, yes. We are still trying to understand how quality will work in the new regional structure. There are a lot of moving parts that aren't going to fit together anymore. Who's going to fix it?

The days of the "wild west" are back.

Only MP knows. You will have significant stress moving forward. Nov 3 is coming for 2nd lay offs and this will not be pretty. Quality and Ops are the main targets. Also more R&D will be out the door. With this they will also have reduction in EMEA QA and other functions, work council is about ready to deliberate 6-8 weeks session.
Leave now or plan to leave now as you no longer qualify for B&L severance anyway.
Go my friends, move on.
It will suck here, if not already.

I'm in quality too. As long as I get my severance and some unemployment I'm set for the time being. B&L crashed under Zarella. I figured W-P was doing a nice job polishing this turd, but in the back of my mind I knew these 1-percenters just cared about the bottomline. When I heard about Valeant and read up on them, I knew it was probably the end of B&L as I knew it. Overall I still know who I report to for now, but Quality has a lot of worthless Chiefs. If they're smart they'll start from the top-down. At least in my department, a lot of new USP guidelines will at least guarantee that there will more work down the pipeline. I wanna see them do this crap with a skeleton crew.

Well said, so who are these worthless chiefs in Quality? I don't personally know them that well but I think it will be good for the QA org to know what they are left with. So advise your friends.

That would be any layer greater than 1, between local senior managment and the CEO. All of that is excess.

Let me just say that we had layoffs in 2000. All the work we had was done by a far smaller crew than we have now. Now you got a person to review this team's work and and another for the other team. Then we got someone to review crap that one person used to do for all the teams, just ridiculous. We were supposed to reduce manager headcount under W-P but all they did was reshuffle people and change titles. We also have a couple of open positions which I'm assuming they will count as actual personnel to be laid off. Its a magic act at its finest. I don't want to go but a part of me will be glad to not have to deal with this shit. Maybe Valeant also make so they don't hire 2:1 Puerto Ricans.

I'm in the quality organization and am excited about all the changes and re-org(even though I don't know exactly what it's going to look like). The current B+L QA structure is so stupid and there needs to be more cuts. We need at least 50% more cuts. There are too many stupid policies and procedures that were created just to please one or two managers and individuals. There are so many stupid procedures that are so convoluted that were created by these people to try to ensure they still may have jobs. Hopefully, the re-org will get rid of these people and throw an A-bomb on this stupid system they created. Time to get rid of this crap and have a system that actually adds value instead having stacks of paper to create and review just to justify someones job.

So true regarding all the stupid policies just to please some jackass manager out to please his bosses. But I highly doubt an organization like Valeant thats out to make a quick buck is gonna give a crap. The opposite may be true and that they may be even more willing to halfass it just to make the numbers.
