The lab industry will have big changes to announce
just got confirmation that big layoffs are coming. Merry Christmas.
There will not be lay offs initially. 30-40 percent will walk on their own, due to the new terms of employment, saving the company unemployment exposure. The rest will transfer and the majority of those will not be able to handle the new restrictions and oversight and will also leave on their own or be termed for cause. All the while, new employees are being recruited and they will be eager to please their new employer and will shine in the eyes of management, compared to their bitter outdated counterparts. Your once valuable years of experience is now a detriment to progress. You have outlived your use here. Happy 2019.
Good luck filling all those jobs at 3.7% unemployment.

Wow you seem a little bitter. You seem happy that some hard working people may be effected by this. Must suck to be so green with envy. Oh well try and get some sleep. Maybe you will wake up a better person. Life ain’t that bad dude.Let’s say you are right about low unemployment going forward. Ignore the market and assume we are not spiraling into a recession. Technical Service Reps will replace commissioned sales with a significantly higher level of expertise and a substantial savings. The average salary for an MLT is 38,500 and with a slight bump to acquire the cream of the crop, we will provide a better service, at a better price and rid ourselves of a corrupt system, infested with obnoxious sales people who think they own the business and drive down the morale of every hard working honest employee in the business. But best of luck and no hard feelings. If times get tough, I have an friend who owns a Kia dealership upstate. I am told they still work on commission.
