Yeah because I'm sure they threw this meeting together in 2 weeks to "boost morale" after a layoff. It wasn't planned months in advance in preparation for the launch of 3 products. And you're comparing a pharmaceutical company with a financial company (Do you even know what AIG stands for?) who assumed too much risk in mortgage backed securities? Apples to oranges.

I work for a different company, I haven't been laid off and I'm taking the day off to catch up personal stuff. It's rather pathetic any of you would excuse management's decision to continue with the dog-and-pony show in Vegas. Meetings can be rescheduled and deposits either refunded or held for a later date.
