A great attitude is great a great thing to have in this or any job. But, be aware that attitude and nice awards, ranking, etc. will not be a factor during any layoffs.

All I have to say, is THANK YOU for posting something POSITIVE about AZ! I have been scouring CP for weeks (since AZ just hired me) trying to learn some of the industry lingo and get an idea about what the culture is like at the company that I will be working for. My god, though....I had no idea what sort of doom and gloom I would find posted about AZ on CP!

I'm new to the industry....but I find it odd that so many people seem to like to whine on CP about their jobs at AZ when they could be working at McDonalds making minimum wage.
Every company has bullshit that goes on....but at least when you have to deal with the bullshit, you are making a decent salary.
In the past, I have worked in jobs making $12.00/hr with a frigging Bachelors degree because the geographic area I live in had one of the most depressed job markets in the entire country. It's either bring home at least a small paycheck, or bring home none at all.
When I was making $12.00/hr the job and the company were bullshit.
When I was making $30.00/hr, the job and the company were bullshit. BUT, at least bringing home a good wage made the bullshit all that much more tolerable!
I don't know AZ that well yet, but to me it sounds like there are just a bunch of crybabies on CP who, instead of working on improving their metrics, would rather sit on the internet until the cows come home, ranting and raving about how much AZ sucks and how horrible it is that their DM is an asshole and how layoffs are coming (yet, still haven't....) and yet, they are still raking in a six-figure salary.

So glad you have hope! You will love your job - the people you touch in the field will make your time at AZ fun and rewarding.
The DSM team is brillant and one of the best I have seen in my 15 years at AZ.
Be sure to work hard and remember why you are doing this.... to help others and don't listen to all of the negative comments. Which means never sign on to CP again!!
These are from good people who are stressed to the max from the many changes they have seen and anticapate seeing in the future.
