Considering a return to LCA. Previously TAM from year's back. Does anyone know typical payout & comp plan for BDEs (Business Development Executive)?

I'm guessing that there are only a hand full of people who actually know because I do not believe there are too many BDEs throughout the company.
My understanding was that they have a base similiar to sales reps with comp based on revenue retention (as opposed to new sales)... but not really sure.

at GG there are 3. They report to 2 managers. Love to see those ride with reports.
There are several at LabCorp. Noone really knows what they do. BDE is a business development exec, does anyone know what buisness they actually develop?
Don't be a fool. There are no bonuses like the TM, AM, TAM days. No one is making money, everyone is bailing first opportunity they get.
You have to be kidding me 2 directors managing 3 people. Looks like that role will be around for a long time.

The only thing they develop is the art of how to loose an account to a competitor.
More lost business than gained with them.
Will they still be around by summer? Dianon and some USLABS people are doing their own deals with out them.
GG never had this position. WHY? Because we didn't NEED it. The GG reps are competent enough to "develop business", close deals, service and upsell. I understand Lab Corp has a rep for each of these skills and pay a total of what the GG rep makes. Again and I've said it before, they all should have been RIFED along with their leaders.
Is RP still with TM? Since he is managing 3 people now it would seem he would have plenty of time for her now.
I doubt it. I heard RP telling everyone he was finished. He is just buying his time and begging to go somewhere else. The problem is everyone knows what RP does and doesn't want him to be a part of thier organization. Can you say CANCER!!
All of the USL people left can do the BDE job. There is no need for it.
sounds like someone who just left the company in the last 2 weeks has a bit of an axe to grind with RP, those last two posts are a little heavy handed.
Unfortunately, that's what these boards have turned into: a forum for disgruntled employees (both past and present) to be extremely venomous.
it has been almost a year since this post, are they still with the company? i know the ones that were worth a darn have left on their own or were recruited by other labs.
How many are left? and if so, do they replace them when one leaves?

When I worked for LC, my BDE knew NOTHING!! I completely intimidated her because of my credentials and college degrees. I actually do not believe she even had a degree..what a joke.
I left after like four months because I was sickened by the facts!!

College degrees, plural, and you worked for lab corp in sales. What did you major in? Gardening? Pottery? Double major? With all those degrees why didnt you make it in those fields? Idiot.
