Base salaries

Offers are real low. I'm a national award winner. Multiple, successful product launches in the past 5 years. I don't work in ophthalmology currently, but I'm in a much more complex disease date now and I got laughed out the door by the hiring manager for requesting a base of $80k. Good luck to all.

Um I doubt that, many people have been offered more.

BS Mr. Troll!! Quit stirring trouble and go back to your studio apartment and quit using WiFi at Starbucks! LOL!

Just telling you what happened. No reason to BS you. I was contacted by a recruiter. Went through all the hoops. Told that was an reasonable salary to expect and then I was told by the hiring manager it was not. All before having a face 2 face. It's not like I showed up and had a bad interview. They weren't willing to offer anything over $80k and I wasn't willing to accept less. Take it for what it's worth. Might be market based. Doesn't really matter. Shire went low ball.

i was told from the first phone screen that a base salary range was 135-145k for the rare disease division if all required criteria was met. I am moving on in the interview process, but if the offer is not anywhere in that range then I will not consider a 6 state territory with weekly overnight travel for a pay cut. Anyone else in this division that can confirm if this is accurate data I am being told? I would greatly appreciate it before I get on a plane to go interview and waste any more time. Thanks.

You are probably ok. The feedback on here is mostly from the new Ophthalmology team which is run by a kook, plain and simple.

80k? You must have sucked I got 110 have heard as high as 118 for opthamology but that is it

BS I had a phone interview was moved on to face to face. Before getting off the phone I asked about the base range and he asked what I was currently making. I told him 95k and he stayed the salary will be much less but u can make up for it in bonus. Take it for what it's worth

That better not be the case, if so I'm pissed and having a discussion with my manager. I tried numerous times to negotiate and was told the offers are not negotiable. That is some serious bullshit.

I believe there could already be a class action lawsuit for everyone that completed the interview process and not offered a position, because of all of the mostly ex-bausch people offered positions over the phone, without having to interview face to face. I believe that could be considered discrimination.

Lol good luck. They also offered them more $ than others that actually interviewed, and also gave out senior titles when they told EVERYONE else that everyone was starting at the same level.
