Bacterin Biologics

Interesting to see layoffs (18 people), claims by GC (person or bacteria) that revenues will increase with less people on board to produce product. It will lower expenses some but keep in mind GC continues to get $500,000 salary, percs, bonuses with nepotistic favors. Great story for investigator reporter.

The resignaition of GC proves that crime does pay. He has received easily over $10-15 million in pay, bonuses, made his kids and wife wealthy, and has continued with the major stock ownership. He now can blame future failure on whomever takes over. His past criminal oversight will be lost in time and the blame will fall on the newcomers if there any stupid enough to take the reins. This is one of the worst managed companies I have ever followed ; he is a joke and his initials tell the story. The company needs penicillin and a lot more. Sorry for those who were recently laid off too.

Most likely event in near future, asset sale, stock will go to zero, GC gets more $ for his ineptness at buyout, keeps his undeserved monetary rewards now in the hands of family members, and heads south to warm climate. Anyone staying to get a lift in price has head in sand. Watch the fingerpointing, the directors leaving, the scatter of scat. This is an example of free energy becoming entropy; lost use of a great opportunity for all. Hope the SEC get involved. Should be wearing orange suits for a number of top managers with GC especially. A terrible example of mismanagement.

Share price now down to 73 cents! In a SEC report last week, it stated that Guy Cook would be stepping down as President and CEO, but would remain as Chariman of the Board. Now he is out as the Chairman of the Board as well. It really is a shame. I thought Bacterin had a great product that I enjoyed promoting. Unfortunately, there were so many problems with different levels of management that it is going to take a major overhaul to fix. Perhaps, this is it. I hope so for the friends I have that still work for the company, although they are dwindling.

'From the oldest of times, people danced for a number of reasons. They danced in prayer, or so that their crops would be plentiful, or so their hunt would be good. And they danced to stay physically fit, and show their community spirit. And they danced to celebrate.'' And that is the dancing we're talking about. Aren't we told in Psalm 149? "'Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song. Let them praise his name in the dance.'' Amen. And it was King David- King David, who we read about in Samuel. And what did David do? What did David do? What did David do? ''David danced before the Lord with all his might leaping and dancing before the Lord.'' Leaping and dancing. Ecclesiastes assures us that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to laugh and a time to weep. A time to mourn and there is a time to dance. And there was a time for this law, but not anymore. See, this is our time to dance. It is our way of celebrating life. It's the way it was in the beginning. It's the way it's always been. It's the way it should be now.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha--horrible people and treated their people like dirt while using them for contacts.

It is predictable knowing the clowns who ran it and those still in charge. There is probably less nepotism and raping the funds now that the Cook-Crook family is out, but when you read the quotes from Chairman Swanson that the company is poised to be profitable now that they have reduced coists (i.e. 600K salary to G Cook as an example)...its all a shell game while they try to protect their asses from likely shareholder litigaiton, the FDA and attempt to recoup some of their stock for cash. Protecting the shareholders and striving for company success has never been their top priority; only goal was avarice and grabbing what they could for personal benefit. It has been a trully deceitful group running the show. Orange (jail ) should be their banner color.

Anyone know how they were able to get Cook out? From what I understood, he owned or had control of enough shares to practically do whatever he wanted. Plus, a couple of weeks before, Bacterin announced Cook would remain as Chairman of the Board, then it appeared as if he would be completely out. Anyone know what went down? Does he still have any involvement?

He was fired as was his wife. Next who should go are BOD that stands for Bad Directors. They are all praying for rain during this very dry spell but i suspect there is no Messiah who could help this jokeless crew.

lots of truth to this thread. regardless of the crookery, the Bacterin product line is still legit, and moving quickly in the ortho/spine market. the company is interviewing new CEO candidates. and, despite the setbacks, the company is on target to hit good numbers this quarter. my hope is that they hire a stud CEO and turn it up a notch.

Curious to know if you are on the inside to predict such great changes. My sense on the outsid, based on people who know what has happened there, the company is struggling and the creditors are breathing hard. This is likely going to be creditor takeover and reorgnaziation causing all current stockholders to lose their ownership. Cook's crookery has done this along with his BOD who saw $ before providing ethical leaderhip.
