Attune Tibia issue

How could you know this? Just because the rep doesn't fill out the form in front of you doesn't mean it's not being done. I don't ever see the stryker reps filling out reports but I don't assume it's not being done.

That would require a Depuy rep to be present. we have revised a few Attunes and Depuy reps never have showed up. Not sure if we have one in are area honestly. We get snowbirds who have Surgury elsewhere and come here where Depuy has 0 % market share to get revised. We pull everything on Attune knees so the offices don't even bother calling Depuy.... What was the point of having a Depuy rep in the room if you used to have to pull femur also? I bet there are ALOT of places that clean up the Attune mess without Depuy knowing.

So double or triple the numbers in the MAUDE database and let us know what the percentage is.

So the latest loss in a hip trial found:

The jury, hearing the case in Dallas, unanimously found J&J and DePuy liable for a series of design and manufacturing defects, fraud and deceptive business practices. Further, they found both defendants acted with wanton, reckless or malicious conduct.
Specifically, the jury found J&J and DePuy liable for design defect, negligent design, inadequate warning, manufacturing defect, negligent manufacture, negligent misrepresentation, intentional misrepresentation to the surgeons who performed the initial hip implant surgeries on the plaintiffs, fraudulent concealment from the plaintiffs and from the surgeons and deceptive business practices as to the plaintiffs and the surgeons.

Count up how many of those apply to the Attune tibia.

How we can recognize the problem in all the MAUDE reports in December and then continue to sell the bad tray is what is going to cost us big. The new S+ tray is awesome and totally solves the problem - but every patient who was exposed to risk from when we knew (April 2016) until when we solved (April 2017) deserves their payout if they have loss of or failure to bond.

I just checked MAUDE and I think November was a new record (in BAAAAAAD!).

I wonder when it will peak. We are getting on pretty well with S+ upgrades for hopefully it will start to tail down in 2018. Most of mine have been pretty early - certainly within 12 months and a lot have been intra-op.

Oh damn! You weren't lying! Those are probably only half of what's being revised also as patients are jumping ship from their primary knee doc. The flood of posters is coming in 2018 if FDA doesn't step up, Surgeons are pissed.

What are you selecting for the maude database searching? Failure to bond loosening? Are you entering in Deputy for manufacturer? Seems like everytime I go to the site the criteria changes a bit.

Best search is probably DePuy as a company and then "base" in the brand section cos if you put in Attune you end up with a couple hundred complaints about those damded impacters!

It's not pretty right now but we will ride it out with S+ with the Dunbar RSA data and the registry stuff.
