Are you kidding me?

Average is still a lot for $175, i have averaged $130 over 6 years. And the other reps in my market have varied tops $170 to as little as $100 or so consecutively

Launching SS was good and quick. it takes a minimum 8 months on average to even get a PRINEO trial, and thats after finding the guys that will scream or carry enough clout. Plastics are not the ones in our city. Ortho are so given the fact we were given the indication last fall if you want to call it, its starting to reap the benefits now

WTF are you all still waiting around for?!?!?! Jesus Christ, find a life raft and get the fuck off the titanic already. And by titanic I mean the entire med device industry. In case you haven't noticed, the party's been over for a couple of years now and Obamacare's not goin anywhere. The docs know how to use our shit so unless you work for spine, da vinci, or Mako - you're F'd in the A.

Do you guys need a bomb to go off to realize that the money isn't in devices anymore? Do yourselves a favor. Work part time and get another gig on the side or start a business. If companies want to be greedy, be greedy yourselves.

No shit sherlock...Easier said than done...Not just going to quit wo another gig. I agree with you MDD is on the way out at least regarding Ethicon which is a lot of commodities w/ Competitive advantages. Ill stay til I get fired, haha, at least I can get a severance and collect unemployment

Ur cute if you think the company is going to give a severance or allow unemployment.......better protect yourself because employers can change things to protect themselves from having to pay unemployment or severance. It's an "at will" job, don't forget that!

There is a chance you may collect unemployment then again consider this...companies are now laying off employees then offering them a newly created position with the same responsibilities but a fraction of the pay. In many states, employees who decline to accept the new position are no longer eligible for unemployment.

My advice is don't sit around waiting for easy street to come because when it does you might find it ain't as easy as you thought.

New comp structure for Global Surgery is 65K base & 50K variable comp. Years of service and operating company does not matter. You will be offered the position and if you decline, no job and no severance.

You're obviously not too bright so let me help you here. Work part time in your Ethicon job and start something on the side. You don't have to be in the case for sutures, trocars and cutters all the time. Understand now?

Actually, you WON'T be in ANY cases unless invited, security checked and escorted to the cases.......and most docs know how to use sutures, trocars and cutters....so no one in surgery WANTS a sales rep standing, taking up space in their OR........maybe that will help you all work "part time" and get that second job? or maybe it will just help thin the herd of high priced reps....

Ahhhh .....there is intelligence at EES after all. Now we are onto something. So you see, it would be very easy to keep this job and get something else.

I put in a full day's work as an ESR and if I didn't my numbers would suck! Maybe there are a few Ethicon Inc divisions needed to be let go especially if you don't even have to work for the money! Actually I'm kinda jealous!!

it is very funny to me to read these posts that are obviously written by Inc reps. EES reps dont sell trocars... we sell single clip appliers and pph. that is how we make our money!!

To Poster #57...Has it every occured to you that there is little relation between you working hard and your numbers? Just because you are working, doesn't mean you are making a difference. That's not an insult... I'm just pointing out what many have already said here and that is you don't have to work much at this job because there is so much that is out of your control.

I've been here a long time and I can say with pretty high certainty that those who have less than 2 years tenure tend to feel the same as you (which suggest you've been here less than 2 years). Once you figure out the real deal, you will come to a new sense of reality.

Good Luck
