Are you interviewing with Intuitive?

Yet you're trolling this page. Don't believe the hype from the haters. Do your homework- turnover rate is the same as industry average for device. If you're looking to coast- this is not the job for you. If you can sell, want to make good $, and play a role in the wave of the future, then educate yourself and seriously look in to it.

Give it 2 years big boy.

Most of the responses I have read seem to be centered around the CSR position.

Can any past or current ISI employee comment on the Area Sales Manager (ASM) position?

Specifically I am looking for feedback on the following:

1) Income potential. I have heard the range at quota is in the 3-400k range with the top 10% making over a million. I understand this depends on the market opportunity of the territory but would like to have someone share their experience or incite.
2) Management differences. I have been told that this group is not micro managed the same way the CSR position due to the very nature of the job. CSRs need to be johnny on the spot in cases whereas the ASMs are tasked to sell capital into hospitals without a system. I have heard that attending cases are not part of the daily job description.
3) Job satisfaction. In your opinion are the ASMs generally more satisfied with the job given the income and the way this group is managed?

I currently have a stable career but am very tempted to join ISI due to the power of their technology.

Thank you for your feedback.

I think it's great that someone interviewing for a job that pays "$300k - $400k" would come to CafePharma for advice. Fucking idiot.

Don't leave your stable gig. I have a friend in HR that knows all the salaries and you won't be making even the quota. They throw stock at you to make it look like you are making money but they'll fire you before you get a chance to cash it out.

Stop all the rants! It's simple: this company has a great product but it's philosophy, strategy, management, and direction is a complete disaster. Simply put: This Company SUCKS!!!! Look elsewhere and don't waste an once of your time!

I think this company is calling everyone under the sun, I got 3 calls, everyone told me to look elsewhere...not a good place to be.

There's a reason why most companies don't burn bridges with all their employees. These employees are connected and they let their friends and peers know to stay away. They have hit up 10 of my friends and they all told ISI to screw off. Good job HR.
