Are you interviewing with Intuitive?

Ya okay...the $ sounds good and the "robotic" technology cool right??

Ask yourself why does this company churn and burn thru so many people? I spent time interviewing in the WEst and found out all the mgrs are new within 1 yr in their positions, they all know how to sell and "hunt" but obviously no one can manage. The entire N. CA team left in the last year. Oh so they fired the manager (who was the most experienced of the group I might add)

when people stated "don't waste your time w intuitive" on this board it pissed me off. I wanted to see for myself so I did. WOW what an odd group of folks. Cannot put my finger on it but 2 +2 don't= 4 at this organization.

Every recruiter out there is trying to get them candidates and they interview constantly until finally some poor soul accepts the position of Clinical Sales Rep (wooo) hoping they will make the big $200K +

I found the exact opposite with them. I also interviewed for a position in the West, in November. I made it all the way to the their West VP. Although in the end I didn't get the job, I found this group to be probably the most intelligent, polished group of professionals I have ever interviewed with. They were all passionate about what they did and very excited to share the information. It made me want the job even more. I can see if you aren't confident, and more importantly, willing to evaluate your own shortcomings, that you could feel intimidated and place the blame on them. I'm going to try and get better and try again.

What a sad sap you are. You probably believe what you read in self help books. Did you just finish Pollyannna?

Or, is this someone from management whose new job is to post this blather in hopes that someone will believe it?

Plant!

I have a question for you, are you an internal or external recruiter, or better yet, how long have you been a rep at Intuitive.

Please, this post is so Intuitively tainted its obvious.

In interviewing with the west you apparently were not paying attention because the west is some of the most tenured reps in e country. The manager/director they just fired was the worst director ever and didn't know anything about the business or managing people and by the way was the LEAST TENURED person in N. Ca! So get your facts straight before you mouth off about what you know nothing about. You're just bitter because you didn't get the job, I'm glad you didn't....I wouldn't want to work with you.

I found their recruiter to be quite the jackarse. Arrogant and a lot of talk about "capacity". Those who can sell are salespeople. Those who can't....recruit.

After going through the interview process with Intuitive, I can say that I was impressed with the professionalism and the passion of the folks I met. I can also say that it will take a specific type of person to be successful there long term. Ultimately, not the right job for me, but it does seem like a challenging and potentially rewarding place to work if you like to grind.

Obviously an Internal Recruiter. You guys are getting desparate

Nope, just someone who was pleasantly surprised by the interview process. (It's funny to me that anything posted on CP, on any company page, that is not negative BS is assumed to be from an "internal" source). Ultimately, the extra $40k wasn't going to be worth the extra 1200 or so hours, 50 manager field rides and 100+ conference calls every year. Like I said, it takes a specific type of person, but it's a good opportunity.

I would agree with you about other companies but you never actually had to work for these people. After a couple of years you would sing a different tune if you still had your job. There are pockets of good leadership in different parts of the country but it is the exception. By the way, I was one of the "lucky" few that lasted several years. I had many counterparts who were great at what they did who were fired and reputations tarnished for no reason after only a year or two. Be glad you did not take this gig.

You can say this about every company out there! If you are afraid of this situation, Stay home!

Really? Stop trying to justfy your stupidity and inflate your own ego. This reputation wouldn't exist if the culture and life balance didn't completely suck.
I have made more than 200k year over year for multiple companies and never once sold my soul. I know so many people that have been in and out of there. This is a high pressure, whore yourself out sell with little or no clinical or economic benefit to pt, MD, or hospital. It is a marketing scheme. Assuming pts are so dumb, they will demand a Robotic surgery come to our hospital. Then, when they walk in, the MD/hospital educates them and says "I think you're better off with a more traditional approach..." ISRG growth is from MDs pushing hard to get a minimum of cases under their belt so they can claim credentialled or self labelled "robotic surgeon."
Everyone knows, ISRG is a last resort. No one is trying to get a gig there unless they are desperate or an immature egomaniac.

Really!? You should stop trying to justify your stupidity and inflate your own ego! Have you read your own post?! Really? "Everyone knows, ISRG is a last resort"! I get it! You hate ISRG so much, you can't accept it's success! Word of an advice, wise man once said "best revenge is to live happy and move on".
