Anyone taking the job if it were offered to them?

You really make yourself sound like a class act... First you say you were going to take the job from someone else until your other job starts... but then because you didn't get an offer you say you don't think it will get approved?? So how were you only going to stay for two months if it didn't get approved? Think before you speak. Good luck with your "device" job.

With your crap attitude , you will never make it in devices

I chose to not move forward because it looks like a primary care sale, i.e. samples, call reporting, etc. and the money wasn't there so it would not be advancing my career forward. I guess if you're miserable where you are it's worth the risk.

I completely agreed. I would have been a significant step down. The PC docs are not going to drive the business but they will force reps to call on them.

Stop, the breakdown for customers is only 20% PC, so the majority of your customer base will be specialists. If you actually took some time to speak to movement specialists in your proposed territory, you'd see that this drug will take off and there will not be any downsizing.

Let's come back in a year and see who's laughing then, putting my career on Chelsea and the 85 of us who are moving forward with this opportunity.

STOP... the specialty target breakdown depends on the territory, ranging from 20-50+%!!! Movement specialists may like the product but its success will come down to medicare coverage (and the helpfulness of the specialty pharmacy with coverage) as most PDers are 65+ and on Medicare/Medicaid. OR could Chelsea be hoping for assistance from doctors wanting to use this product outside the label- general OH and otherwise??? Hmmm.

Good Luck to the 85.

yes Chelsea is banking on a lot of off-label promotion and will get away with it for as long as they can. when they are on the brink of getting caught they will stop paying reps for rx outside of neuro and cardio specialty

I got a sick offer so what's the problem? I guess they have a problem because no way would I take it. I kinda tripped by going this far but whatever. Way to much bad press for me to be involved.

What bad press? Please if you consider anonymous posts on pharma message boards "bad press" thank God you passed on this job. Try actually looking at the statements from physicians before you spout off on bad press.

sick offer??????????? max 110k base. not exactly sick unless you are making under 100k. 2,500 sign on isn't even enough for a down payment on a car. 5 thousand options only cost 16k at todays close.

You people make me laugh and at the same time disgust me... to make over 100k in this economy for what we do is not shabby. There are people breaking rocks for minimum wage. Get over yourselves. The offer was fine. The sign on is just added money and the stock options will play themselves out over time hopefully. It won't be a bad position if it gets approved. If there is any chance to do better at this position compared to your current one then it can't be bad. There is no reason to bad mouth the company, the offer or people that accept the offer. Even if you got turned down or decided to turn it down... just move on to the next opportunity. Not a single one of us who are lucky enough to get paid for what we do should have any complaints. You dress nice, get your gas paid for, mingle with professionals and basically socialize all day. No matter what I have no regrets accepting the offer

When speaking to the people interviewing, the majority were unemployed. This is a great opportunity.

I never said it was a bad offer. I just said if your salary exceeds 110 by more than a few grand it probably isnt worth it. The reason is because you go for the stock. If you think the company is a homerun, buy 5 thousand shares and stay at your current job while taking on none of the risk. If 110 is a raise from your current salary, then by all means go for it. But that was the reason I turned it down. I still think it will be a very good opportunity.
