Anybody heard anything ?

I know a bunch of us were called by recruiters back in December/January for an initial phone screen and supposedly the hiring managers have the profiles of each candidate. I heard they received them last week. Has anybody been called yet by a hiring manager for another phone interview or face-to-face? I may not get selected because of my lack of CNS experience but was wondering if the hiring process is in full steam yet or is it sort of puttering away.

I was told last week by Tara G managers are now reviewing candidate profiles.

Yes, but I got word that a rep up in the northeast has already been contacted by the hiring manager for another phone screen. Didn't know if all of the hiring managers or most have started calling candidates yet.

That's the only one I know about.

In the west MO has us hiring his buddies from Sunovion 1st.
Interviews for open territories latter.

See? That bugs me. Just because you have CNS experience doesn't mean you were an awesome rep. I didn't have any experience with the drugs I'm selling and Im number one if the region and top ten overall.

They should want the best salespeople, not the best CNS reps.

Heard the interviews are staggered across the country. West is first then moves East. West managers are phone interviewing with shorter time frame. East calls will be coming...I hope.

This is an extremely niche market and the only recipe for success is a rep with joy only experience in CNS but both SZ AND LAI's. Ex sunovion DMs and reps will even have a hard time- best bet is hiring a Sustenna Maintena rep, Maintena being first. There was a steep learning curve for all of Otsuka even though they owned the molecule. Lucky is Alkermes gets Otsuka MSLs.....

I love how idiots come here and try to act like they know what they are talking about. Great reps with experience selling in Schizophrenia will cont to do great things.

Nope...I call bullshit. That is NOT the only recipe for success. You do NOT have to have CNS experience or even experience in the Schizophrenia market to succeed. Will it help? Sure it will. but again. You can teach a salesperson the science and product info. You can't however teach a salesperson how to be a good salesperson. You either got it or you don't. There are so many intricacies and variables in any market place that good salespeople either get or they don't. Like I said, I never had ANY hospital or injectable experience before I came to my current company, but I've won two president's club trips and numerous awards and been highly successful. Been with my current company for over 10 years. If I truly sucked, I'm sure they would have let me go by now. The true test to me is autonomy. Did you make all the great numbers yourself or did you have a cluster mate help? To me, take a solo rep put him/her in a territory by themselves for a while and THEN see how well or how bad they perform. Many schmucks who claim to be "so successful" really didn't do shit. They had other colleagues help them out while they took full credit. Small biotech is "big boys" selling and require someone who can get the job done solo and sometimes without much help. Many cannot function in this realm. That is what I like about small biotech. You are responsible both good and bad for YOUR territory.

Whoever wrote this is an Alkermes caliber person. You are correct, SZ experience is not mandatory. You have all the experience you need, and, more importantly, you have the right attitude. Good luck!
