The issue here is not with Abbvie. Allergan famously underpaid their used car salespeople. They get absorbed into a company paying higher for higher quality candidates and here we are.
There is zero reason for Abbvie do one thing about salaries of Allergan peeps. Zero.
Exactly! Why didn’t you take this issue up with Allergan, or better yet, why did you accept a low offer???

This company is combined with poopy company, now since we are with good company we want more money. Hm, well the question is, would you have been hired by AbbVie before this merge? No? Keep your job and stfu
To answer yes… I would of been hired. Turned down a position in 2020 since I’d go from a growth launch bag to a drug on its march to generic.

also the people being hired for this salary are people with lil to no experience so not cream of crop

So did anyone hear about an internal management email accidentally sent out discussing the ability to pay new hires the max of $115k starting? Allergan legacy reps were told the starting was $80k. From the email it’s states it’s $110-115k. I know two new hires with Abbvie in same division of company with little to no experience that got the $115k starting salary…The gist is Abbvie is severely underpaying the allergan legacy reps…So is Abbvie going to raise legacy salaries or try to sweep under the rug?

16 years here still a level 3. Minorities with no pharma experience coming at level 3 and 4. Go work somewhere else! LOL. Team cohesion is shot when this happens. I have a go fuck yourself attitude now. Thanks Senior leadership for being exclusive of non-minority loyal employees. I’ll go back in my hole now.

That’s pretty much everywhere you go. I left AZ after 10 years to come here and got a 15,000 pay increase. People getting hired into AZ were getting paid as much as me after 10 years. If you want more money you have to leave a company. It’s been like that forever. I finally got sick of my crappy manager and took a chance and left to come here. AZ has crappy bonus and no upward mobility. It’s a risk you take when you leave.

if I "identify" as a minority, does that qualify? cause I am whatever HR wants me to be to check a box!

It's truly embarrassing what is being offered for a "specialty position" - interviewing with another company in exact same specialty and recruiter's high range for their base was $50 K higher. FIFTY EFFING K
only college kids are going to want to come here.

I did a phone screen for an Abbvie neuroscience position last week. I have 20 years selling in neuroscience. I have an MBA. They said the top of the salary range was 90000. That was only if you had a pharmD PhD. With my years of experience and MBA I would only warrant 80000. I currently make 135000. What I dont understand is why your company is bothering to post these open speciality positions and pay so low. Nobody is going to take these jobs , especially if they require 10 plus years of experience and a PhD. I told the phone screener they were crazy and I was not interested in moving onto an interview. They acted surprised I wouldn't come work for 80000. The whole process was a waste of time and a joke!

Good luck selling those 2nd in class migraine drugs. They are mediocre compared to rimegepant.

AbbVie is in a hiring freeze with Humira coming off patent soon. They are simply trying to cut costs as much as possible to brace for the hit. Our department is losing people every other week and we've been told there is no chance we will get replacements.

Not in CNS. Warm body with no experience? Come on board!
