So did anyone hear about an internal management email accidentally sent out discussing the ability to pay new hires the max of $115k starting? Allergan legacy reps were told the starting was $80k. From the email it’s states it’s $110-115k. I know two new hires with Abbvie in same division of company with little to no experience that got the $115k starting salary…The gist is Abbvie is severely underpaying the allergan legacy reps…So is Abbvie going to raise legacy salaries or try to sweep under the rug?

TRUE on this; my recruiter confirmed before my interview

There are many Allergan legacy reps who have over 10 years experience and they are still on a low base in the 80’s. Yet new hires with just a few years are starting in the 110s.
Abbvie is promoting equality. Well where is the equality in this.
Why doesn’t someone from Abbvie address this issue? No one knows anything and no one can give a clear answer.
It’s a very demotivating situation and bad for morale.

The email is true. The manager who sent it out (initials KW). He meant to send it to his DM’s but accidentally sent it to all of his reps. Of course screenshots were taken before he recalled the message. He mentioned in the email senior reps had a group chat going about compensation and that the DM’s must squash the noise about hire compensation for new hires. I bet that chat is on fire right now!!

RBD is a clown. Makes reps work on holidays. He should be working at a used car lot. No character

The issue here is not with Abbvie. Allergan famously underpaid their used car salespeople. They get absorbed into a company paying higher for higher quality candidates and here we are.
There is zero reason for Abbvie do one thing about salaries of Allergan peeps. Zero.

Allergan are severely underpaid salary wise.
Many divisions were told comp plan made up for that. No longer! Who can’t get the numbers right??? Screwed reps at end of 2021 and put numbers into 2022. And still wrong. What a joke! Extend the quarter - whatever, for your benefit not ours. Your forecast sucks. Growth markets are making money without even leaving their house, population growth, and others aren’t - make it real. Oh and RG, merits need to exceed inflation. Over a quarter of a SF already walked and many more to come.

This company is combined with poopy company, now since we are with good company we want more money. Hm, well the question is, would you have been hired by AbbVie before this merge? No? Keep your job and stfu

AbbVie acquired poopy company with poopy reps and paid more for their reps now poopy company wants more money for their poopy jobs just accept the fact your work for AbbVie one of the largest pharma companies in the entire world and walk away

Sorry - the poop is AbbVie. The most unethical company in Pharma. AbbVie is reason so many physicians don't want to see reps anymore. Unethical practices abound - like the slimy RBD in MS.

Here we go again with the rumor mill… bottom line, regardless of the validity of your “claim”, if you’re unhappy, seek employment elsewhere. You should feel fortunate, unlike many casualties of acquisitions, you my friend are still gainfully employed.
