Gonzo has been babbling on about culture recently. But what is Abbvie culture-CEO lost 1.64 billion in a failed merger and his salary goes up to 18 million, he lied about his college degree, they work people to death and then give out PIPs when they are through with them.

Who knows, it's all over the place.
Ex Abbott managers are micro mangers and demotivational, the ex Solvay managers are head and shoulder above them in style, they motivate. gonzo is a deal breaker as far as culture because of him anything goes, he should go and Jim Hyne should take his place.
Basically the culture is ok but all over the map, good bad and interfere.

Culture starts at the top.

Our culture is built on lies and deceit. He can babble all he wants about culture but a 30 year track record IMO is trumped by lying about your education then shifting blame to an administrative assistant. Still to this day he's never owned it.

Every man/woman for themselves regardless of whom they need to step on, back stab or throw under the bus to get what they want. Look at the attacks on the Metabolic franchise. HCV attacking layers of their own infrastructure. Managed Care blaming sales. That my dear colleagues is our Abbvie culture.

Defensive, excuses for weak management and a belief that every rep is not aware of the stupidity and ignorance of such things as patient care model and a warehouse with moderiba in it and the fact that next generation of treatment is less than 12 months away.

Humira? The culture is poison. The only thing that seems to matter is how much time you put in every day producing tangible evidence that you're kissing ass with every available breath. It's sad to see people who I have respected and cared about for over a decade, people who could write books on how to effectively and ethically optimize your effectiveness as a sales person, treated like second rate garbage because they didn't write enough emails providing fictional tales of how effective the latest messaging strategy has become. The RMs and DMs belittle you, treat you like an idiot and a child, attempt to motivate with bullying and fear, but if you try to leave for a new opportunity they are likely to sue you for non-compete.

You are constantly pressured to do 3-4 programs a quarter only to have the Scapegoat Gestapo investigate you and threaten you with termination over things that just naturally occur and go wrong consistently when you are asked to 12-24 programs a year using the same 10 year old data. It's hard to believe that this cancerous culture is restricted to Humira, but needless to say the Humira sales teams are very unhappy places to earn a living and the culture is getting notably worse instead of getting better. Where is this nastiness coming from? Where did it start? It is so pervasive now that I don't even recognize the company any more.

The low level managers are scrambling to be relivent and the reps for the most part are just in shock wondering what's next. We need real leadership, real motivation and real security, not some fake crap. It's not a good place to be, sorry RG, you blew it!

you'd think a company under a cia wouldn't so blatantly pay docs by doing so many bs programs. They talk about roi of the programs but we all know the roi is from paying the speakers. Evey time i hear this bs, my bp goes up. Horribly unethical.
 
















Come on. The slide deck is the PI repackaged. Nothing new. Nothing.

The only reason we do the programs is to pay the speaker. My best writers are my speakers and that's how I keep them going.
 




MEI programs should be stopped, they break all the rules, the very nature of the speaker program is a breach of the CID, I don't understand why they are not ended, doesn't the FDA look at this, it's a shell game, bullshit all fake, mostly pharmacy techs and bullshit Doctors go, it's all about the free meal, give me a break. What are we doing? Our CEO launches a website of his trophy wife to be and announces his grand wedding. Then he talks about culture and gives out the new one Abbvie way-while he has been a miserable failure and fraud. If you hear him talk, he takes all the credit for Humira-yeah right. Nothing major in our pipeline, a breakup fee of 1.64 billion and a target of 51% for Viekra Pak. What is the board doing-are they asleep at the wheel or they all shorting the stock??

You sheep never saw this? The purpose of Abbvie was to rid Abbott of its legacy obligations -- healthcare pension etc.. and to dump its toxic assets. If it is to survive so be it, that was never the plan. Everything but the kitchen sink in the old ABT pipeline (KNOLL) is being thrown out to see what sticks. Maybe something will. However, the plan was for Abbvie to dissolve after Humira gets biosimilar competition.
It amuses me to see you take yourselves so seriously on this board.
