Abbvie Automobile/Fleet Car Complainers…

There are too many complaints about our new fleet cars offered to our sales force & managers. This should have no bearing on your ability to perform at the highest level that we know you can. This is why you’ve been hired. To drive you to succeed, we’ve given you the option to pay an additional amount per month to upgrade for a more professional vehicle. We don’t see our Director & C Level personal complaining about their vehicles.

As a self-respecting employee, it should NOT matter if the car you are provided was made popular by overweight, single, white women with short hair and a litter of cats.

Be an adult and be a professional.

Happy selling!

"Well, what if", you have a previous injury and the car is a tin bos that makes you feel like you are flying South West economy all day and causing medical issues? What if, the automobile choices outside of the cheapest break your budget?

I am looking a gift horse in the mouth, but there are extenuating circumstances. Also, when does the Executive suite complain when they are driven or have luxury automobiles???

They need to look out the medical/health benefits of the reps.

Driving as much as we do is causing long term damage to our hips, nerves, necks, and shoulders. At least offer us better health care benefits such as chiropractic care and maybe a free gym membership. At least get a wellness coach that can supply reps with car appropriate stretches etc.

AbbVie Vitality ? Useless

Ummmm what??? The benefits are very good. You want that other stuff? Then go get it! If you cant do sales then I'm sure someone could use an out of shape schmuck like you to put on a santa suit and ring a bell

This thread is hilarious because it’s started by someone working in home office in a desk job, not by a field sales rep putting their life, safety and comfort on the line 24/7.

We already get charged a monthly use fee (hidden) and if we want a car which can function for our family in the weekends, over $300 a month extra? So $400 plus for a car we don’t even own? Allergan provided us comfortable, safe options, and if we want a car even close to their previous options it’s $5K a year!

The fleet policy isn’t even close to what other companies currently offer (choices, cost), so yeah it’s kind of a big deal. So enjoy sitting at your desk and stirring the pot in shit you don’t even know.

please.... when is the last time you worked at another company to know what they really offer? the only better option for a car option is a stipend otherwise every organization is tightening. Hidden? Its on your pay stub you monkey!
BY LAW you are charged a fee for personal use of a company car as it is considered a wage.
quit trying to sound smart and experienced.

Medical and pharmacy rep’s circle is huge. We don’t have to work at other companies to know what they offer, we have friends everywhere. Highlanders, Volvos, Traverses offered galore without any extra money confirmed.

Stfu. You have no idea what you’re talking about. The last poster is spot on.

They were denied being able to expense a Shaq chair for their overweight selves and started this thread.

These cars are for all intents and purposes our office. Home Office folks aren’t expected to do their work on folding chairs or high school home room desks. We spend lots of hours in these things. And we spend more on them then Home Office people spend on their offices

And what is so horribly wrong with the Subaru?

They are all not Subaru's, RAV 4's - toy cars really. Also, if you need a larger automobile due to having four kids, the $75 per pay period is just does not cut it. Too small. So, as you go up for needs of your family (yes we pay and get taxed on anything OVER the normal business miles) you pay more. Ascent = $265 a pay period! I would rather drive my Suburban - much more comfortable, safe (debatable I know), and roomy for everything business and three different sports equipment.

Just saying.

Well as this is a work car, the company is not responsible for catering to the size of the family. Get the cheapest option for work and buy your own family car!

What are you talking about? It's a benefit that makes up your total compensation. You get a downgrade in your car, it's like getting a pay cut. What's the point of getting a new car for family vs. work when I am paying out of my pocket every paycheck and getting taxed for the fringe benefit (personal use)?
