Abbott to scrap health plans under Obamacare

No, you're right, "libtard" is very non-PC. Perhaps "logically challenged", "progressive", or maybe "socialist" is nicer? By the way, calling the kettle black is racist.

No way...if the pot is black and the kettle is also black it is considered pc for the pot to call the kettle black. Please brush up on acceptable name calling.

Now when a Right Wing fundamentalist (who scratched his way out of the trailer park to become a nouveau riche salesbot) calls a democrat living in a shining urban city a "libtard", that is just not acceptable. In fact we urbanites don't like hearing from Right Wing Red State Trailer Trash, ever.

Gosh, I know that was not a pc statement. All this exposure to trailer trash has taken its toll. Note to self. Must get another job. Must get another job.

We really need universal healthcare. The prices of the prescriptions are too high in this country.

relax, relax, it's all part of the plan. So is no more pharma sales or marketing. Come now, you can't expect that to continue, do you? That's the #2 expense in pharma, and it is why prescriptions cost so much. But don't worry, with "free" healthcare, welfare and food stamps, you will be able to work part time. Just think: you'll be "liberated" from having to work full time for some capitalist pig 1%'er! The Workers Paradise is almost upon on us, compliments of Obama.

In case you didn't notice, the president executed a "soft coup" at the state of the union speech, pledging to do whatever he wants, bypassing congress, and issuing executive orders. He didn't ask for emergency power; he simply declared he's taking it. And he got a standing ovation by the very people he took the power from! Hardly any so-called reporters dared to comment!

We are living in exciting times, comrade.

Sorry, you are only partially PC here: if the pot AND kettle are black, they can call each other black. Or even use the "N" word, especially if they have just successfully completed a sporting activity together.

If one is black, and the other copper, both can use "black" as a descriptor, unless the copper utensil is a conservative, in which case it would be considered a racist container to use "black" to describe the other. Also in that case, the copper kettle or pot would be described as being "white copper".

However, if one or the other is not black or copper, and is white, off-white, or light tan, the descriptor "black" or "copper" cannot be used at all. In that case, it is PC to use the country of origin for black or copper container, followed after hyphenation by the "American".

You are also missing a few additional identifiers of a conservative. I know, the trailer park connection is very valid, but lets not forget many fine liberals, and more importantly, unregistered Democrats, also reside in trailers.

Here are a few foolproof ways to identify a conservative (that's more PC than "right winger):

1). Posses a gun
2). Allows their children to play with toy guns; does not reprimand their child for using a thumb and forefinger, or a carrot, or other object, as a pretend gun
3). Has an American flag on their pickup truck, or a bumper sticker containing the word "America" in it
4). Has an American flag anywhere in their home, of any size. Even in a draw.
5). Served in the military, and is not ashamed of that
6). Uses the work "god" in any way, except in the phrase "god dammit"
7). Has a copy of the US Constitution in their possession
8). Has ever willingly read the US Constitution (being forced to do so in school does not count)
9). Holds the belief that the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights is anything other than a quaint old document, written by racist old white slave holders, that is no longer applicable
10). Makes a distinction between legal and illegal immigrant

Wow, a president issuing executive orders. You would almost think he was the president. You might also think that previous presidents have done that as well. And if you had actually done some reading up on the matter, you might also realize that other presidents have Previous presidents have issued way more executive orders than Obama

I agree. Lets get out the golf clubs and play 18 today.

"Way more"? You may want to actually look this, skippy, rather than repeat what you heard on CNN, or read in a NYT op-ed piece.

No president has ever so brazenly threatened Congress on national television. Just as no president has ever threatened the Supreme Court, as Obama did at a State of the Union address prior to the final vote on Obamacare. No president has routinely issued executive orders that constitutionally overstep and the Legislative branch's authority. And many of these orders have been direction to disobey and not enforce a federal law, or a part of a law, just because Obama personally does not agree with it. That's what dictators do.

Do you know what the oath of office, the very one that Obama has recited twice now, requires him to do regarding Federal laws? Yep, enforce them. Not just some, or only parts that he likes.

Obama has routinely, and increasingly, used executive orders in ways few presidents have even dared a few times in their administration and, when they have, done so under urgency to protect the country from a "clear an present danger". Obama does so for political reasons and to bypass Congress. In other words, get around that old fashioned outdated piece of paper, the Constitution. You know, the one he swore to "preserve and protect, from all enemies, foreign and domestic".

I'll bet you have no idea that the Constitution specially and deliberately created 3 separate but equal branches of Federal government, or what each branch's role is. I'll bet you have no clue that the president, by design, heads up only one of those branches.

If a president can't get what he want passed by Congress, then things are working as they are supposed to. That's because the American people, for whom he serves (not the other way around), are not convinced they want it. The president has to convince us first; Congress is supposed to vote based on what we want (also not the other way around). Within Congress, only the House can spend money, and is supposed to balance what a president wants against what we can afford, again based solely on what the American people prioritize.

Where do you guys hang out? We can do some arm wrestling about this next week.

Whoa skippy, like how you accuse someone of just getting their news from opeds, then proceed not to include a single fact to back up your rebuttal - almost as if you were repeating someone else's oped.

For th record, 291 executive orders for bush, 168 for Obama:

What, can't read? An executive order to free the white house thanksgiving day turkey is different than ordering insurance companies to disobey sections of Obamacare ... until after the 2016 elections. Or granting wholesale waivers on Obamacare, which is the law of the land and applies to all, to select groups ... based on politics. How about enacting sweeping EPA policy and regulations, bypassing Congress because he could not get the votes?

I know, on MSNBC and CNN they won't tell you such things.
