A. Gorsky's quote on reducing pension costs

I know another rep who did something similar. The RBDs and DMs even had moles, and he uncovered them and turned the tables on them. If you ask him, he tells you he just "retired" but he was given a pretty hefty severance package. Left the industry and living sweet thanks to the ineptitude of the morons who though they could snare him. The ones who are gone because of them didn't leave because they wanted to. Others got demoted or are stuck in limbo here forever. Who wants to be in limbo? I like the Heaven that the rep ended up in!

I told that rep he should write a book and make even more money. I don't think he had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. It would make a great movie too!

Keep to the thread topic; that is all anyone is interested in.

Get your facts straight. It was not AG but Caruso the CFO. All he said is that they are looking at avenues to reduce future pension liabilities. He inferred a few things. That the pension could be sizably reduced at any time by a percentage cut to the plan payout. That reducing future exposure to pension liabilities by having a "more energized and less experienced staff where applicable" . Finally he offered up reduction to future high dollar pensions in less vital personnel could contribute to that strategy. Overall it was regarding long term health of JnJ and less about moving old folks out. Although by recent standards one could say that it may be a plan in execution mode presently.

I do not care who said it. It does not sound good. People plan financially according to the promised pension amount. If the rules change mid game, that is not great. Morale and trust will suffer.

Hmmm let me see. You want me to give up my career (which I am fond of), put my financial track for early retirement into the trash can so you can make a law firm rich? Let make thIs clear so a dumb ass like yourself can understand it. This is not JnJs first thrust into pension limiting personnel shifts. They do so only when they are 100% secure of threat from low lives like your self. JnJ has never been successfully attacked by a whistleblower so trying to find anyone to help you will be impossible.
If you think you can effectively go after AG in the time of President Elect Trump you are mistaken.if you are lucky, and I do mean very lucky, you can get a displaced and disgruntled former manager to testify regarding Marti's instructions to target older employees. I was there and heard it with about 75 senior and mid-level managers. It was not an after thought but instead was a directive. You should look around for managers who left after she had come into her fame. Many chose to leave instead of participating in this deliberate act. The question is did JD pass that to her and was this initiated higher up? Most likely but those are the managers that get $10m to walk away and never speak. Anyone that can help you is already silenced or about to be. There is no Joan of Archere coming to help you. So if you are over 55 you are gone. A handful will be kept as tokens and they had sold their souls to JnJ years ago. If you are over 45 and you stay you should know that you have an expiration date of which will most certainly coincide with dates before your presumed pension has any real value. Those under 45 simply look over the hill to see how many senior employees are here with 30 years. Behold the chosen few that have sucked off the leaders to attain this status. They will never see a restful retirement since long term exposure to JnJ is a carcinogen.
Answering your question, nobody with the information that you seek will be willing to step forward. Move on.

Look around, idiots. How many reps do you know that are in their 50's?. They're not wanted, and are systematically managed out. I was lucky enough to make it to 55, catch a little pension, and great but expensive health insurance is paid from said pension. I still keep wondering when the game is over for you folks still doing the J&J thing; lack of access, fake calls, bogus field rides, bullshit FCR's... It's all gonna' end sooner or later despite management's effort and need to maintain the game.

I have a friend who worked in the Boston area and she told me that that whole area is off limits to reps. Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire have some of the most restrictive industry access policies in the nation, and in Maine they won't allow reps into hospitals where most of the doctors have their practices now. But the managers want their jobs too so they fake all the field rides and mostly spend their time with reps in restaurants and coffee shops. When I read these reps posting and bragging about how much Marti "loves" them and promised they won't have any problems as the company harasses other reps, I really want to write a letter to corporate HQ and let Alex and the Board know what's going on up there. I might just contact a couple of my friends who worked there and left and encourage them to do it.

Tickets to Hamilton? Really? That will only get you so far.

Right, the only people in their 50's are those who make the decisions to get rid of those in their 50's. True Dat.

So if you don't make it to management you are going to get run out? Why would anyone stay that isn't getting moved up with the lucky sperm club? How do they keep people working when they know they will be run out?

Great questions. I think because they tool away any real chance for a promotions and a real career not to mention pay raises a long time ago, people have settled in to knowing that they can go no where and that the money and benefits are ok and that they have to produce something or else they can't keep what they have.

No you can stay and just remain miserable. If you are not they will make you be so. Most are at their mercy; it is a total control situation (cat and mouse). You are the mouse if you have not figured that out. Get educated change fields and get out.

It's about time to get back at JnJ and frankly, do you want to still work for this crummy company or make enough to retire on as a whistleblower? How do you people live with yourselves? Sold your soul for the promise of eternal employment? Is this what our company, and country is coming to?

Gotta say, we're a little ticked off in my region. After everybody kicking in to get Marti some amazeballs Holiday gifts, we find out we're only getting 10,000 in Holiday bonus? The DMs are telling us it's because the company is cutting back. Well, how about next year WE cut back and get Marti smaller Holiday gifts? I wonder how she would like that. And how about we don't buy gifts for the RBD's spouses next year? How do you think they would like that? Not much, I bet!

Stick to the topic no one is interested in Marti except JBI and everyone does not work there.

Yeah, back to to Gorsky. Let me guess they'll do away with all the pension , benefits and perks that once made this an awesome company and then he'll walk away with about 100 $$million or so for all that hard work? Cutting the money , pensions etc out from under your employees is the EASY way building and growing a business to keep it all is HARD. They'll always take the easy way.
