A/C Turnover

Bottom line , it really is a huge negative to try and grow a pharma company out of DFW , especially with such a focus by managers / VPs whatever at the home office on the local market which in NO WAY represents the greater pharma market USA . TX has great RX coverage ( best in nation ) and people making 35 k willing to splash on every A/C drug we carry . Not a good cross section of total market and leads to TX market decisions that don't translate well across state lines .

I am not sure where this silly thread about Texas started. The company used to be a premier company in Derm the other notable company was Medicis and they had been in Phoenix AZ. So this East Coast and West Coast thing is a moot point for a specialty like Derm. The real issue is the weak leadership and the complete draining of the talented but lets admit outspoken people who had been kicked out of here the last several years. If Humberto was smarter and willing to listen to those folks we would not be in this mess. He should recontact some of the people who left that built this thing to a billion dollar company prior to FF and prior to the investment in aesthetics. Not an easy task and we used to have people who could make it happen and still support the sales team. Those days are long gone and so are the quality people who made that happen not just management but huge brain drain in rep talent as well. Now listless middle managers like CS and KS. Really?

Agree that when we were going strong we could have been located in Idaho and people still would have joined ys. Lost our focus when we decided to go all in with A&C. Need to strengthen Rx portfolio to gain top billing again. That's where the focus ought to be for future growth

Have you lost your mind? Nothing in a prescription based world is growing. Reimbursements are shriveling. Generics are taking over. The only area of growth is in a cash based markets. Aesthetics and self med ar just two choices in this arena, but they are certainly wiser long term investments for a company than a prescription business. With all three business units their investment portfolio is balanced for long term growth and stability.

Nicely said - we need all three business units to succeed long term which is exactly why Nestle bought us - my bet is their will be an acquisition that helps the RX side next year. Too much invested to just walk away or give up.

The ra ra speeches about how well people did last qtr and this qtr! Wake up leaders! Those that "did well" are either in "expansion" territories, meaning they have been in these territories for 12-14 months....there weren't any reps there before, so of course they are going up against next to nothing LY! The other group "doing well" didn't make their number in Q3 nor Q4, so their growth req is a joke!

Those reps struggling right now are being asked to do the unthinkable! And because of this, 0 commissions! NOT A GOOD WAY TO KEEP YOUR GOOD REPS!!

Instead of complaining on this site for unhappy reps; you should try putting together your argument and presenting it to HR and Sr. management. I have seen them act many times in the past few months when a well thought out solution is presented. Or, you can complain anonymously. I haven't seen that work.

Good idea but there will always be somebody in the bottom 10% in sales, that's just the way it is. Those 10% people will be the ones griping here. Many pharma companies dismiss the bottom 10% once a year so lets hope that doesn't start happening here.
