A/C Turnover

Hey Jackasses, if you didn't want 30+ people to leave over the past 2 Qtrs you should have NOT rolled out a horrible IC plan. If you still paid per point many would have stayed because the goals are too high to make coin over there- no wonder people rolled to Kyth and Compouding jobs in the middle of 2 product launches and aspire- if you paid them they would have stayed! Hindsight is 20/20, but don't bitch and moan that people are leaving and cry that these companies are cherrypicking top talent; hello- how many Alcon peeps do you hypocrites steal on a monthly basis? Realize that Merz and Allergan have 40+ FA/AC openings; more unhappy reps will continue to leave if you don't fix this mess and be more transparent. Hope that helps!

The whole management team could see it, not the plan but we all know it's the goals set when they bought us. Company buys, company wants results, reps get stretched to goals. Easy as that.

I don't know anyone that is bitching or moaning that some people left. Actually, we could all rest in peace knowing those that are unhappy are leaving. Wish we still had pay per point? Great idea! We should also operate everything like 10 yrs ago because that is such a progressive way to move forward. I'm sure you think your comments are really smart. And they are if you are stuck in woe is me land. Try to think a little bigger, or better yet, just keep complaining because that is what all successful people do.

Are you an expansion territory rep? Only someone that wasn't here under Medicis/Valeant would be happy with the money they are making now! We used to make "competitive comp" vs. Merz and Allergan....now, not so much!

Why is anyone even surprised by this? the company overpaid for the assets now they want their payback. It has been the same model for years Overpaid for Oracea goals went through the roof now same in aesthetics. You all have been warned over and over again and the clown show coming over from Alcon has no idea how to be competitive in the space either from a sales and or Marketing standpoint. No customers relationships and no idea how to retain top talent and no idea how to develop a kick ass high performing team. Which by the way is retention of your top talent. Despite the investment from Nestle, Despite the scary "talented Sr. Management Talent" coming over from Alcon this place continues to spiral downward. Should not be a surprise to people who have been in the industry 5 or more years. If you stay you will continue to get what you deserve. What other wake up calls do you people need? Stop bitching and get your career back on track. This place is what it is.

You do realize the only reason we have folks from Alcon is due to the fact that they are the only game in town - that town being Fort Worth. There is no other pharma company within 1,000 miles of Galderma so the only folks we get are from Alcon. If Bayer was 20 miles from Galderma, our new folks would be from Bayer. Would love to see Galderma break this TX Triangle of talent and get some folks who know what they are doing rather than know their way around TX.

No I am not. I also used to be 5 years younger, and I used to not have kids, and I used to work less hours, and I used to not worry about a stock market crash, and I used to have a better company car. The entire medical industry is changing rapidly and it has impacted everyone equally. It has nothing to do with this company, with the talent, with the IC plan, etc. As long as all of us are working for a company we will have good years and difficult years. Remember, it's just a job. Do the best you can and over the long term good people will do well. Just don't get stuck on the way something used to be because there are a lot of terrible things that were being picked apart when we were Medicis and when we were Valeant. It seems that when one issue is solved or forgotten about some tend to jump on or create another issue. I, like many others, enjoy my customers and the products we sell. I have no intention of moving to TX, and since ive never worked in a corporate office it seems best to not judge those that do.

the point you missed re "competitive comp" is I like making money! I, due to the insane/pie in the sky/no chance in hell goals, will not make the money that matches my efforts! So yes, I will be out & compensated for working as hard as I do!!!

Well said! It is hard to forget about some of the glory days and accept that this industry will just not be what it used to be in the "good old days!" There isn't really anywhere to go in this industry where it is like it was several years ago. If I ever decide to go it will be to a totally different career in a different industry. For now, the overall compensation and benefits are just to good to replace somewhere else.

Well said and so true. Though who would like to live in TX :-(

Truth ! Only city that progressive companies view as acceptable in TX is no surprise, Austin . Oil companies aside TX is in the dark ages . Look around , pharma is based on either coast for a reason . No IVY league schools or Stanfords in TX . Having a home office there is a huge mistake in this industry , just ask industry insiders or our customer base .

Google , Apple , Amazon , Ebay or a million others aren't setting up shop in DFW for a reason people . Texas is so out of touch with modern America, DFW with it's strip malls , spending addictions and chain restaurants isn't the place . Management should be based in East / West Coast cities for the energy and ideas they advance . Not to mention the talent pool found right outside your door , how many good and very capable Galderma employees have turned down an opportunity because they didn't want to move to TX ?

Big picture , adding more home office people in TX will kill this company long term , it this marketplace the nibble will succeed . Being in TX keeps the thinking feeble and weak , the environment is not full of inspired people .

Ft worth , those with college degree 25% , Seattle 56 % , Boston 45 % , San Fran 49 % . That's your proof .

DFW is not that bad - low cost of living, no state income tax, mild weather, just to name a few things folks like. Plus Galderma is a "name" in Pharma, unlike some of the other smaller companies mentioned above and having Nestle ownership is not a bad thing either. Problem is folks from the east or west coasts where the innovation occurs, are not readily looking to move to TX. Has been and always will be a challenge attracting top talent to DFW, but I cannot see Galderma moving to Boston or SF in the near future.

U said " folks " dead give away . Reply from someone from the south . Sorry to b straight up but Texas & bible belt is stuck in 1980s thinking wise . Statement is correct no Yale in Texas , no MIT or even RIT for that matter . Even if the home office won't move local , there needs to b a shift in thinking and action.

U r right in one respect , no real talent being attracted to DFW just milk toast followers and yes men with no original thoughts . There is no Nelson Mandela in leadership shown down there.

bible belt ers check out Proverbs 29;18 . OUT

Not true !!!! We added 90 new analysts just this week in Ft Worth . Another 300 home office hires in the coming three months . They love DFW & spend their days deep in analytics as too why the sales force don't trust management , the numbers or how they are getting paid.

Galderma is committed to the largest non selling departments in the industry . We intend to run off anyone with a brain or an original idea or both . Please just conform our analysts tell us this produces the best middle managers . After all isn't just saying yes easier than confronting the truth ? Our analysts say putting your head in the sand is the short term solution to our long term problems .

See , we all love DFW where words are more important than action and sales force morale , engagement and pay has nothing to do with success.
